When do kids get out of school?

I saw this as a side comment in another thread, when do kids get out of school around the country (letting the famlilies get to Disney!).
Our district is one of the latest in MN and the kids get out 6/15, one extra day for staff.

We are in Southern Idaho and my kids get out June 3rd. Actually, my kids will get out May 28th, if all goes as planned, to go to WDW!!!!

But when do you start? that makes a difference. My family in Virginia doesn't star till after Labor Day. Then add in planning the school schedule for flexible days incase of snow, they go till mid June.

This year we started August 17. The last day for students is June 4th. We do have some need for flexible weather days since we are near the southeast coast and get hurricanes. Yet, we have only missed 2 days in three years for weather. One of those was so that the schools could be used to shelter those closer to the coast who were evacuating. Too many empty days planned into the our schedule needlessly. In January, they only went 17 days. I think they just like stretching out the school year.

Here in NY (Long Island) we started the Wed after Labor Day & our last day is June 25th.

I believe Chicago public schools get out around June 18 (they don't start until after Labor Day); a good majority of the suburban schools get out around June 4 (I know by us they did not have any snow days). The colleges are all spread out by us as to when they get out (our youngest has his last final on May 5 and can leave school right after that)

North Carolina can't start before August 25 and must be out by June 10....and has to have 180 instructional day in between.

New Kensington, Pa. Kids get out June 15th, which is why where pulling him out May 16th-23rd, for an early vacation... Cant wait!

I am in Western North Carolina and the kids get out June 10th. Missed 20 days for the weather and have been going to Sat school. We have a waiver to start earlier (Aug 5th), due to the weather in the mountains.

Southeast Wisconsin ---we started September 1st and last day is June 9th provided we don't get a spring storm snow day. We had one on May 11th one year if you can believe that!

Haven't booked air yet but are planning to leave the evening of June 9th for Disney
