When do kids get out of school?

WV outside Wash. DC and my grandson's last day is June 8th. He was off for several weeks because of the blizzard, but for some reason, they did not add any days, nor did they reduce his spring break. He's off the entire week after Easter, which is the norm in our area.

We are in Central VA and get out June 12th (maybe 11th?). We are leaving the day after they get out!

We are in Manatee County, FL and last day of school is June 9th. We are heading to Disney on the 13th. We go back to school August 23rd.

Western KY....June 2....Should be May 24 or around that time but MANY snow days this yr.

We're in MA - we started later than usual this year, 9/8, and are getting out around 6/21.

In Southeastern Va we get out June 17th & go back the Tues after Labor Day.

Our district almost never closes for snow. Got 27 in for one storm and not even a delay after that one. i think we had one snow day but the district has 186 to begin with so it doesn't matter for us.

I believe that put our last day as June 23rd & we always start the last week in Aug. This year it will be 8/31

Central MS gets out late May - May 28th for Madison County Schools. They added a snow day.

Jackson Public Schools have to add some more days for the water crisis we had earlier this year, so they are looking at late May, early June.

Most of the private schools are following suit.

I would think it will be less busy in Disney earlier in the summer for all of the snow days that have to be made up this year, but that is just a guess. Most parents won't take their kids out of school those last days since many of the kids have exams.

My kids get out June 4th (in Central Ohio). They used to get out at the end of May and we LOVED it because we kinda got a jump-start on our vacation while many school districts were still in session....They go back at the end of August.

In PA, for us it will be June 10th-4 snow days to make up-one over Easter! We started August 31st. Next year they are starting August 25th, so we had to switch our Disney bounceback ressie!!! Oh well. at least we are still going in the hot, hot summer!!

We're in Kansas, and our last day is May 21. We have a dance recital on May 22nd. We're leaving for Disney on May 25th.

We started back August 10th and will get out May 27th. Most schools in Alabama get out a week before we do, but we are one of the few that still get a fall break. We have also been lucky that most of the snow has come on days that we were already scheduled to be out of school so no make up days here yet. My girls are counting down till schools out b/c they know that starting the next weekend we'll be back at disney.

Our last day is May 21st (Cobb Co., GA). DH has class on May 22nd in Tennessee and then we are heading down May 23rd.

We go back early in August, though. Next year, they start on Aug 2nd!

I believe Chicago public schools get out around June 18 (they don't start until after Labor Day); a good majority of the suburban schools get out around June 4 (I know by us they did not have any snow days). The colleges are all spread out by us as to when they get out (our youngest has his last final on May 5 and can leave school right after that)

We're in Oswego (outside of Naperville) - Our calender is showing June 2nd, but for some reason I keep thinking the kids are in through the 4th. I wouldn't be surprised if they try to save a couple dollars and cancel out those make-up snow days, given the state budget issues going on right now.

Was suspose to be June 8 but now June 10 due to snow days. We do not make up any snow days throughout the year just at the end.

Central MA here - Our kids started on September 1. The last day is June 21. They go back on August 31.

Near west here. :wave2: Our last day is June 3rd, but that's only an hour of school, so barely counts. Our district almost never has snow days (last was one day in 99), so it doesn't usually affect our schedule or planning.
