When do/did you all get your kids school schedule for the 2004-2005 school year?

We don't get the official calendar until August, but it's been on the district's website for months now, right after the board of education approved it.


the OP sends her son to provate school -- I am amazed that a private school wouldn't know their schedule yet.

Not only has our district's schedule been up on the school's website since before the end of this past school year, they also have a tv channel, thanks to the local cable company. They have the kids schedule up for next year, as well as the dates for each marking period.

I went to school in Royal Oak and Dearborn and we always knew when school started the next year, of course that was 16 years ago.

At least I know that I'm not alone. My son is in a private school so I can't call the BOE and it's not listed on their website yet.
Today I booked our airfare and hotel ressies for October. If worse comes to worse he'll just miss a few days.

..I got my son's schedule the last week of school(june)...however they just sent me notification in the mail last week of some changes...appears the first day of school has been postponed due to some renovations that they are running behind on....they pushed the first day of school back 2wks!!! Use to be Aug 6 was the first day ..it's been pushed back to Aug 19...yikes!!!

This is one of the things our school board does right -- calendars for three years are on the website.

Unfortunately, our state legislature may pass a crazy bill that requires school to start Aug. 25 or later and end June 10 or earlier (We start Aug. 9 and get out in May this year.) The bill would not affect this year, but would require next year's calendar to be adjusted.
