When do December Pop Warner Kids Arrive?

Thinking about booking 12/2-6. Saw from previous thread that Pop Warner starts 12/7. When do kids arrive? Do you think we can we do ASMo 12/2-6 without too much trouble?

It's not so bad, honest!
We were there last year from 11/26 - 12/5 and the Pop Warner kids started arriving around the 2nd or 3rd of December. I found that the parks were pretty much empty and when they arrived, it got an itsybitsy more crowded, but it was nothing like summertime or anything horrendous. Most of them are well behaved and they practice a lot during the afternoons, so they're not in the parks all the time.

We stayed at POFQ, a lot of the kids were in the building across from ours. But it was noiseless once we were in our room, but from what I understand most of them are in the Values. I think you can definitely manage at ASMO without any trouble!

Thanks for the encouragement about the Pop Warner kids. I am going in December because I would really like the parks all the myself and my friends and not a bunch of kids! Will I be running into the Pop Warner kids at Pop Century? I want to do some Mousefest meets. Would it be better to stay the week after Mousefest instead of the week before and avoid the Pop Warner kids altogether?

December is a great time to go, especially so early in the month! You'll love it! I can honestly say for most of our trip, my mother and I never waited over 20 minutes for any ride EVER. The only exception to this is Soarin', which was never under 45 minutes Everything was pretty much a walk on, especially at night.

Anyway, I believe a lot of the Pop Warner kids do stay at Pop, but that's such a big resort, I wouldn't be too worried. I'm not sure what Mousefest is?? What is Mousefest??

I found out about Mousefest by listening to over a half dozen different podcasts. Different podcasters, webmasters and authors sponsor "meets" at attractions, hold history talks, trivia contests, drinking around the world, etc.

Hey, that sounds fun! And thanks for telling me, I had heard of it but never bothered to actually look it up....
Don't schedule your trip in accordance to the Pop Warner kids, they aren't that bad.....definitely go for the Mousefest, too! Sounds fun!
The earlier in December you go, the better the crowds will be, but all is well at WDW!

I"ve been in WDW several times at the same time the PW kids are there. And MouseFest has overlapped many times. The PW kids don't really impact the parks very much. I'll also be at POP C...checking in on the 11th, leaving on the 16th. I've been there when PW was happening and really didn't notice any PW presence there. Disney doesn't seem to put many of the PW families at POP C.
