When do Christmas decorations go up at the Park?

Sorry if this has already been asked; I did a search & couldn't find the dates...need to know so I can help a friend who is planning a November or December trip! Thanks!

I think the unoffical date is November 20th.. However they are taping the Christmas Parade for TV on November 7th so you know Main Street and the castle will be done by then..

Last year was the 21st but I think I read it starts earlier this year...the 13th. I'd check disneylands webpage.

Last year we came in on the 16th and the tree was up and all the decorations. It was not busy at all until the 21st opening day of Holiday Season. We really enjoyed the uncrowded park. But it sure got crazy busy the 21st.

Yes, it will be.. There are dancers ages 6 to adult coming from all over to dance in the parade in the morning and then they dance again in the evening parade. Also, after the taping (the morning parade) there is a concert (that is what I have heard) so I am pretty sure it will be crazy!

Just checked the dates and it is indeed the 13th when the christmas season kicks off

We were there 2 years ago the week of Thanksgiving. Arrived on Sat and left on Wed. Many of the decorations especially in the hotel and DT disney were not up when we arrived but were up by the end of the week. I was a bit disappointed when we first got there (mainly at the hotel) thinking "what's so special about this" but by the end of the week things were definitely looking great!
