When did you first join DVC?

Over the years, we've had a number of polls about a variety of DVC topics. It's sometimes interesting to repeat those polls.

So, when did you first join DVC?

September 1999 (BWV). First DVC stay was in May 2000 at OKW, then Dec 2000 at BWV.

I'm a newbie! I became a member in 2008. It was my 25th birthday present to myself.

We bought our first contract at OKW in 1994.Back then a buying incentive was free park passes for 5 years!Still think Disney should consider making the purchase of park tickets to members at a far better rate than the current one! Anyone agree? After all if you stay on site, you will always be parting with "cash".

I'm so glad we bought when we did, and didn't dawdle running the numbers every which way. We financed, we paid it off, and we've been enjoying it for 14 years now.

By my signature, you guess 1996. Our first purchase was OKW. Then we added on to Beach Club (sight unseen) before it opened. Still, we wish we had bought when we originally toured in 1994!

First bought in 2000, but like others I wish I would have bought when I originally looked in 1998.

2008. I remember visiting in ?2001? when they were building SSR - at least I think that's when it was, not 1996, but thinking about it for about 2 seconds and that was it.

I really wish we had purchased then - I think of ALL the trips we took between 2001 and 2010. Around a dozen before we bought DVC. Oh well, better late than never!

First toured in 1993. Bought in 1994. Haven't regretted it yet. It does seem that as we go along, there is not as much financial equality as then. DCL is particularly aggravating with the exchange rate.

2008. We're like a lot of people...should have joined earlier, for all the $$$ we spent at CR. When we finally joined, DH admitted we should have done it sooner. But I knew that...I'm the numbers person in the family.

1997 for us, and at the BLT promotional tour yesterday, the two years that had the most representation there were 1993 and 1997. Must have been when folks started noticing DVC!
