When did they cut down the trees?

Just saw highlights from WDW Christmas parade(I know I'm a little late). When did they cut down/remove the trees bu the Walt-Mickey statue in front of the castle? My wife and I both said it doesn't look right and finally figured it out.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

There was a thread on the news and rumors board about this. The trees were taken out before Wishes started. They would have blocked the view of the fireworks.

They were taken out at some time after Wishes started. I was there about 2 weeks after wishes started and they were still there. I believe they did it right before Christmas time and put in the christmas trees and the poinsiettas (sp). They are suppose to be putting in smaller trees soon and keeping them trimmed back.

After they took the Christmas decorations down, they put in some magnolias. They are small right now, but these are such trashy trees. I'd rather see Crepe Myrtles.
