When did Disney change it's tickets?

When did Disney start making a difference between expiring tickets and all the tickets never expire. Our last trip in 2003 I don't recall their being a difference but at that time I hadn't been there in years so it's very possible I just never knew about it. I have tickets we used Thanksgiving week in 2003 and had a few days left over so I'm wondering if they are still good.

I looked at the tickets and they just say 5 day hopper pass. Nothing about expiring or not expiring.

January 1, 2005. Now you buy a base pass for the number of days you want (up to 10) and can then add the specific features you intend to use.

The tickets officially went to Magic Your Way status on January 2, 2005 (a Sunday for those calendar gazers). If you still have old park hoppers, you can continue using those until you don't have any more days on them. Those never expire. However, be aware you will no longer be able to purchase the old hoppers anymore. Any future tickets will be the MYW, and you can include park hopper option and no-expiration option if you so choose.
