When Did Asking For Ketchup With Fries Become A Criminal Offense?

Once I asked for ketchup when they handed me my food, and the girl hadnt closed her window all the way and I heard her say sarcastically, "I hate when they ask for ketchup after they order", so when she came back I gave her MY look and told her I heard what she said. She didnt say anything.

BTW--when I'm ordering at the drive thru for 5 people, I may forget to ask for my ketchup--whats the big deal if I ask for it when I get to the window--is it soooo hard for people to walk a few feet and put it in my bag. Sheesh!!

Okay--here are my fast food gripes:

Sonic--will never bring sugar to go with my tea, even when I beg for it when ordering. If they do decide to bless me with something to go with my tea it usually Sweet & Low. Then I have to say no I asked for sugar. last time I checked they were 2 different things.

Wendys--when I go through the drive thru I stop at window 1 to pay. Then as I am about to pull up to window 2 to get the food I already see an arm dangling my food out the window. If you happend to actually slow down to ask for something the drive thru person is never even paying attention--just yaking with co-workers. And then the big eyeroll for ketchup, salt etc.

Whataburger--I drive thru for breakfast and there is one woman who will ask you if you want picante sauce whether you order a taquito or a biscuit sandwich. Even when I said "for a biscuit?"
she refuses to ask if you want butter or jelly. We are now at a stand off to see who will break first, me or her.

Boy do I feel better now, lol.

wow..you guys that get plenty of ketchup and napkins are lucky. Around here, you have to ask for both and it is not just McDonalds. It seems to be occurring at all the fast food places.
Plus they are very stingy with the napkins. I order food for my DD and I and we get 1 napkin. LOL it's so annoying; it's actually funny.

Oh yeah and why ask for ketchup at the drive thru? That sounds odd to me.

Ketchup is made with tomatoes...... EEWWWWW!!!

The McDonald's up the road from where I work has a big sign up on the drive-through window that states how many condiments you are entitled to get without paying extra.

F.y.i., you can get only one packet of ketchup with a small order of fries. If you want more, it costs 10 cents per packet.
Interesting seeing that you're in Northeast NJ. As a kid I worked at McDonald's in that area. I remember being told NOT to give any condiments unless they were requested. Too many were being tossed out at their expense since they weren't used.

They're usually call about condiments here. It's just that they'll only stick 1 napkin in the bag, regardless of what you're having.

I love Wendy's, but I agree with 4greatboys - the whole dangling the bag out of the 2nd window while you're still at the 1st window irks me.
