HELLO, I am headed to WDW tomorrow. YAY! We are staying at BWV and I understand that we will use the International Gateway entrance. Is that entrance open before World Showcase? Anyone know how early it opens in case we want to go catch the monoraile to Magic Kingdom? THANKS! :earboy2:

I believe it opens when FW opens and you will be "ushered" to FW from World Showcase. There is nothing open anyway, so not that exciting. But still neat to walk through when noone else is there.

However, I'm not sure I would use that plan to get to MK. That is a LOT of walking from the back of the park to the front just to catch the monorail. It really might take less time to take the bus from your resort.

It would be a lot faster to catch the bus. The gateway does open when FW opens so you could go that way to catch the monorail and we do it sometimes but only if we want to go to EPCOT first.

Just a little hint--it's a LONG walk from the International Gateway to the monorail.

I had this bright idea on our first day of our last trip. We were at the Dolphin and I wanted to take the monorail to the MK. The walk was a lot longer than I'd realized.

It is nice on those EE days to walk through the World Showcase. I've got some great pictures with no one else around for miles.

Hope you have a great trip!

I agree with the others. It would be easier to catch the bus to MK from your resort. However, if you are going to be going into EPCOT anyway then, sure, take the monorail. I love going through the countries before opening...catch some super awesome pics during that time.

When we've done it, no ushering, just you and others walking to the front. We've also done it for a reservation in FW for a Segway tour so we got to walk to the front before they let anyone else it. It was really creepy walking through Epcot with basically nobody else around in sight, but kind of neat.
