When can I make a reservation?

Hi...we bought two days ago at SSR 320 points!

We paid our deposit over the phone and are paying the rest within a month.
Our guide said our paperwork should arrive next week..(we are in the UK).

We have already booked a trip th POFQ for this August...2 weeks with tickets and free dining. ..So we won't be using our points for that.
My question is ...can we book one night at either BCV or BWV...for during our two weeks. We could just take an overnight bag from FQ and it would fit in nice with a meal and illuminations at Epcot.

Are 7 month mark is coming up soon..will we be able to make our ressies when are paperwork arrives or will we have to wait till we pay the balance?

I would call your guide. I closed this fall, and I was repeatedly told before we closed that we could make a reservation. I was surprised by that. I am not sure if all you have to do is a deposit and then you can make reservations. It is definitely worth a call to your guide.

We just bought too and I made my first ressie about a week after I sent in the paper work with the "big" check. Thought about calling early, but life got in the way.

Called on 12/14 and got early May 2br at SSR(home resort) for 3 nights. We wanted to stay there(had done a cash ressie and decided to buy) so I didn't try any of the other resorts.

I think if you buy direct, you can call as soon as you get your temp member card, you're already in the system and can start booking.

Hi! I just bought, and paid my deposit this past Monday the 8th. I don't have my member information yet, but was told I could make a reservation, so I called MS, and she was able to find me in the system, and I was able to book a room at BCV for the end of July! So if you wait another day or 2 I'm sure you could call and make a reservation! Good luck Are you as excited as I am?!

Thats brilliant news eeyoresbestfriend! ...I don't think the excitment has sunk in yet....I have wanted DVC for ages...and now I have it I can't quite believe it.
I want to check in on Aug 29th so I think I will have to wait till jan 29th to be 7 months out ...is this correct?

Actually you need to call on January 30th (it's 7 months from the checkout date, not the checkin date). Once you can access the member site, you'll see this in red when you check your page regarding points, dues, and reservations.
