When Can Family&Friends See Plans in MDE?

Here's the deal, we had 2 WDW vacations when we included another couple as family & friends and they were added to our BW reservation and MDE in order to customize bands, manage FP+ etc. Of course they could see the plan details for those trips. We just booked an Oct 2016 trip for 10 days at Board Walk, just the 2 of us. My question is, can this couple go to My Disney Experience and see the new trip to which they were not added as family & friends?

You have the option to share all plans or to share "shared" plans. It's set in the "friends and family" section.

It depends on how you have the sharing option set for them in your Family & Friends list.

If set to 'View only our shared activities.', they will only see those plans they are included on.
If set to 'Vew all my activities.', they will see everything.
