I wont be putting mine up at all this year. Im heading off to WDW on the 29th December to get married and i wont be back until the 20th December. But my lovely mum is coming back before us so she will pop round to mine and put my tree up for me! She is fab at decorating tree's everything looks evenly spaced and like it should belong in a shop lol!

do you think she will pop round and do mine ;) no matter how long i take mine always looks bad :guilty:

We normally put it up the 1st weekend of December, but we will be in DLRP. So we will probably put it up the next weekend, the 9th of 10th I think.

We usually put ours up during the first weekend in December - would do it the weekend before but we're at a flippin' school reunion. :sad2: Still, not too long to wait until DH's perched on the ladder getting my many boxes of decorations out of the loft... :rolleyes1

12 Days before Christmas day, then I take it down on the 12th night :thumbsup2

I reckon i'm with you Mandy, race you to see who can get a pic up first :teeth:

Now that sounds like a good long trip :thumbsup2

I guess you mean 29th Nov ;)

DH likes to wait til after his b'day so I guess Dec 17th. Molly has already been watching the nativity DVD and the Polly Pocket advent calendar I ordered from eBay arrived today.

Feeling slightly paniced that I haven't made all the cards yet but I know I was only done early last year as I knew once baby arrived early Nov I'd have my hands full.

Off to Boots shopping PM tomorrow - G says he'll never go with me again as I get too stressed (I think I'll be less stressed not havaing to worry about him and weave round with 2 pushchairs ;)

Jo, I got some great bargains with the Boots 3 for 2 offers the other day, have fun shopping :thumbsup2

About a week before Christmas so it makes Christmas special.

We don't normally put ours up until after the 14th December. That day is my DDs birthday and she doesn't usually want a tree up until her birthday is over. However we are off to choose a new tree soon so it may go up earlier this year. ;)

We normally put our tree up on the last Saturday in November but this year we are putting it up on the 18th November!! We are off to WDW on the 1st December and the 18th November is the only free weekend we have before I go as I work shifts. Can't wait getting really excited! :teeth:

first weekend in december cant wait , the outdoor lights start going up last week of november

We have a Christmas tree growing in our front lawn, that gets decorated and switched on the first Sunday in Advent.

Hopefully on 9th Dec if DH lets me.
He likes to wait until nearer Xmas but I get too excited.

Yeah I do the same as you, Florida Sun. Having to wait makes it even nicer! plus no way would DH let me put it up before. Last year was the first time in 4 years the decs got put up at the right time - going away in December meant I would put the decs/tree up Xmas Eve whilst jet-lagged and with a Babycham in one hand and an eye on the telly (usually National Lampoon's Xmas Vacation or Jingle All the Way!). Anyway, with us still waiting for a move date to our new house, it'll probably happen on Xmas Eve knowing our luck! :santa:

I always used to wait until the 21st or 22nd Dec but, since DD was born, we usually go to collect it on her birthday - 8th Dec :thumbsup2

I can't make my mind up what to do as we are off to WDW on 14th Dec until 1st Jan so we won't really see the ones at home. There again I can't imagine not putting them up so will probably do them the week before we leave. I am also going to buy a small tree for our room when we arrive in Orlando :)
