They're still playing Christmas music too. Really tired of it, Christmas is over.

I just got from there today. I totally agree, end it already! We were on the New year's cruise on the Wonder and it was such a relief when they switched from off the Christmas music after Jan 1st. Then I get to the parks the next week and it's still Christmas everywhere!

It appears that they left it up for the marathoners and last night's and tonight's PM EMH.

It may disappear soon.
Stay tuned.

A cast member also told us everything was staying up for the marathons. I was disappointed we didn't get any "normal" days all the way up to January 8th.

Also some schools had off last week so I guess there are still some stragglers.

I agree. I love the Christmas decorations and all, but after seeing them for 2 months now I'm ready for them to go and everything to get back to normal.

It's still up due to A Frozen Holiday Wish being extended through tonight (which was done for the Marathon, I believe).

I would think that today would be the last day for all of the Christmas stuff around the parks.

They always keep the Christmas music going far too long into January. Ends up being more irritating than enjoyable.

ugh. Isn't that the truth! They usually take down decorations and stop the music by the Saturday after New Year's Day. I wonder if the marathoners asked for it to be extended.

Seems like in years past when NYD was on a thursday or friday they would start to disappear the following monday.

I think WDW is trying to extend the Xmas season one more week. As I posted above some schools were off last week and it was either last year or the year before there was a phase 1 or 2 closing in that week.

My BIL was there and I had to tell him that traditionally it was a slow time but not that year.

What may have prompted this was maybe 5 years ago it was very cold in the beginning of January and Disney decided to keep the decorations up well into the month. Must have got good reviews but most thought it was creepy hearing the music Jan 15th.

I love, love, love Christmas - but after 2 months, I'm tired of it too! Time to get everything back to normal.

We were in Disneyland one year on my birthday, Jan 14th, and they still had the Christmas overlay in Small World, and Haunted Mansion was closed to take the overlay down.

It is not just the MK. We're here now, staying at VWL. The decorations were up here when we arrived (last Wednesday) but came down Friday or Saturday. It was neat to be here through the transition.

Also, the tree was still up at AK yesterday.

I go every year from 12/24 to 1/2. I always liked that the decorations stayed up for so long. For me, Christmas didn't end until I left Disney. If they turned it over intra-trip, it would have felt like my trip is over.

But 1/12 is waayyy too long to have them up. The Christmas crowd is long gone by now. There's always that house in your neighborhood that you pass with their lights up wayy too long - Disney is becoming that house!

Our house tree went down yesterday. Am not upset with still seeing some Christmasy stuff.:santa:

I guess if I was there before Christmas, I might not be thrilled about having the decorations up, but if I just arrived, it would be a nice surprise to see them still up.

Just got back and the Christmas music is still playing but the Toy Soldiers are gone. There is a crane behind the castle, so hopefully things will really start to come down tonight!

Side note we went on the Mine train 3 times in a row during the last hour.

Xmas was only 18 days a go...not Xmas's fault WDW put up the decor in Oct !
