So the DL website only has AP hotel rates through Oct. right now. When can I expect AP rates for Nov? And when might any special rates (AP or public) come out for Nov? Thanks!

They post them 3 months out, I believe, so Aug 1 should start showing the rates for Oct.

I am not sure what specials may be in store, but there is currently a "Late Summer" ap rate that only shows up when you put your dates in the booking box and check. The ap calendar doesn't show the Late Summer sale rates. You might try some Nov. dates just to see what happens.

I just checked. Right now it's $36 a night cheaper than what I saved a few weeks ago. Still not a great price for that time frame. The calendar shows through Oct. right now so maybe the beginning of August will have some lower rates for Nov.

Oops! I meant to say November, not Oct.

It is all a little crazy this year with CL and all of the new changes at DCA. It's anyone's guess what they'll do as far as rates, but from what I've read, even though park attendance is up, hotel reservations are not so I'm guessing they'll continue to offer incentives. I sure hope so, anyway!

You know what? If thats the case then I think it would be an awesome idea to offer some really good rates to so cal residents....give them incentives to come up and stay the night or something??

Please let us know what becomes available. I am debating as to whether to go to an AP so I don't have to worry about getting the right CM to add days to our lousy 5-day PHs, and I have a PPH reservation for Nov 9-12. Although no discounts could erase the extra $816 my family would have to spend for APs (compared to 5-day PH for us), an AP hotel discount would help.

When we went in May I ended up getting AP discount and then the public discount that came out was a bit better and then they lowered the AP again. Or maybe it was the public one that was lower? I can't remember but it got lowered three times. Still was expensive but I think we ended up with a 25% discount in the end.

My point is that it seems the public discounts often are just as good as the AP discounts. I wouldn't buy an AP just for the hotel discount. Take into account the number of days you'll go for the year and the food/merch. discounts too before buying an AP.

And I don't know anything about SoCal resident discounts. I am out of state and hoping for either public or AP discounts (or the coveted, I've never received one, pin code). The beginning of Nov. is so slow, I am really hoping for a nice discount!
