I'm a person who lost a reservation when trying to change a reservation, both villas were gone, so I understand what was recently done in our account, but it's not what I asked for. There are 16 parts to our contract, so, it gets a bit confusing, but I do try to remember to tell MS which part I want the points taken from.

This is for May, so nothing is going into holding. I booked a Standard view studio in Kidani for one night for my DSis with VB points (there's only one VB contract in the mix), and asked to waitlist for a Savannah view studio for her and I asked that the 2 additional points come from the VB contract that was used to book the Standard view. Today, I noticed that my total '09 points were lowered by 2, so I checked, and I found that the 11 points are back in the VB contract and MS used 5 AKV points and 8 VWL points for the Savannah view. I will need those VWL points for a December '09 reservation. Apparently, MS booked the Savannah view studio and THEN cancelled the Standard view.

If I ask them to change the points back to VB points, will they have to cancel and rebook? Could they not have just put the extra two VB points into the original reservation?

I have another Standard view studio that I now also want to waitlist for a Savannah view studio for that one night. It's the night after our cruise and it would be great if everyone has Savannah view, so far we have the two rooms out of three, so it looks as if it could happen. However, we are not going to VB in '09 and those are the points that I want used. Can it be done?

Sorry this happened to you (especially losing the first reservation). I would probably call and ask for a manager to do it. They messed up the points, so they should fix them. Good luck, I hope you get it fixed. :)

You need to call MS and ask for a TEAM LINE MANAGER. They can and should put your points back where they belong.

You should also send a email to Member Satisfaction and summarize the mistake. I just got off the phone with the Group Manager over Member Satisfaction. She told me that many problems never get fixed because no one brings them to their attention.

When the upper management gets the official report of satisfaction contacts and the list only has a few line items, they assume that everything is great. No people problems, no computer problems, everyone loves the 90 window for ADRs, and we love the RCI change.

I have recalulated and determined that I can live with the results as they stand. I have sent an e-mail to MS specifically stating how I want this new waitlist dealt with. I don't want to muddy the waters regarding this new waitlist. It is only recently that I have organized my points because I want to know exactly what sort of points they are using at 7 months and less. That's where I have been "surprised" in the past.
