We are planning to take an electric chair onboard with Delta from LAX-MCO. Not too concerned with this part, other than the possible rough handling of the chair. However I am wondering how the airlines handle ramps. Ours are 2 pieces which can be separated or combined, but weigh a good 25 lbs or so and are larger in length than most suitcases.
Has anyone brought their own ramps? Do I need to have them bagged in a special carrying case or does the airline just put plastic wrap over them or ?
I would love to just FedEx them ahead, but we'll need them right away at MCO to get the chair into the rental minivan.
Thanks!!
