does anyone happen to know which buildings at OKW have Wheelchair Accessible rooms w/ the roll-in shower?

we're looking at Studios or 2-bdrms.
i saw someone else post before that there are only 19 Accessible studios at OKW... is this true?
are there Accessible Dedicated 2-bdrms? or would you have to book a 2-bdrm lock-off that has an Accessible studio attached?

are there more Accessible rooms located in the new buildings 62, 63, 64, than in older buildings?

I can't tell you which buildings but I can tell you that there are some. We had a GV in one of the new buildings with the elevator. It was nice having an elevator in the building. If you ask for a handicapped room, they will give you one. Just ask when you call. We have stayed in many- from OKW to BWV.

I was the one who posted that. I emailed MS and got the number from them - there are 19 wheelchair accessible studios, 19 wheelchair acessible one bedrooms. The email reply I got said there are 20 accessible 2 bedrooms. Whan I asked for further clarification, the 19 studios and one bedrooms are lock-offs (to give more flexibility).
From what I have been told, they are scattered throughout the property; there is no one building that has all (or most) of them. I know there is a zero entry pool (with a ramp instead of steps) ; We haven't seen it, but I think it's at Turtle Point (or whatever that area is called). We were planning to use it on one trip when our room was in that area, but a Tropical Storm was hitting and we left a day early.
If you are a member or working with points, you just work with MS for your special needs requests. I have been told by MS on a number of occasions that requests for Wheelchair Accessible units are guaranteed. make sure it says something like that on your reservation confirmation.
If you are going thru Disney Hotel Reservations, you would use WDW Resort Special Reservations:
(407) 939-7807
(407) 939-7670 [TTY]
They deal with special needs reservation for non-members.

thank you, Sue! so does this mean that, of the 20 Accessible 2-bdrms, 19 of them are lock-offs? and there is 1 Accessible Dedicated 2-bdrm? just checking.

Hi! The elevators are in the newest buildings, buildings 62, 63, and 64. These are a good choice for anyone as there have been several subtle updates and these buildings are very close to the hospitality house.:)

It is not a zero entry pool - but a ramp and it is not on the main entrance part - it on the back - kind of close to the playground.

That is what I understood from the answer I got back when I asked for clarification. I don't have the email anymore (DD renamed the Hard Drive on the computer and some things got lost), but I basically asked if there were 19 accessible studios plus 19 accessible one bedrooms, plus 20 accessible 2 bedrooms and the answer was that the smaller rooms combined together to make 20 two bedroom units. So, I assume that means there is one dedicated 2 bedroom and 19 lock offs.

Someone had told me it was a zero entry pool. Could you explain how this is different - is it just a small ramped area instead of one whole side? It might make a difference to some people for getting in; for example, if it is only a narrow ramp, a person who needs someone to walk next to them and steady them might not be able to use it.
