i'm a powerwalker myself, i also enjoy yoga and pilates and certain exercise classes at my fitness center. for me the key is mixing it up and not getting bored
The stairmaster machine where you have to climb actual stairs (very tall machine with about 4 stairs). That is such a workout for me. I can do 30-40 minutes on level 8 and I am sweating like a pig afterwards. Lots of calories too - between 370-420 (depending on which program).
I do the stairmaster just about everytime I am at the gym. It is my first workout - then I do the treadmill or ellyptical trainer or the bike or weight or my sauna - but its just about always the stairmaster first.
Swimming but I don't do it all year since there is no pool close to home. I might try to go this year to our neigbouring town to the public pool once a week now that DS6 is in school full time and I have more free time on my days off work. I also jog, walk, T-Tapp.

I do lots of different exercise videos at home, of those my favorites are the step workouts and the newer firm videos. My preference if I was able to get out of the house in the evenings would be to bicycle, swim, or run on a nature trail.
skating, playing hockey, yoga. I also like aerobics classes when I can't get on the ice somewhere (dance, step). HATE those machines! You can keep the stairmaster, eliptical, treadmill, etc!
When I'm someplace with an exercise room, I like the treadmill for just walking, but at home I like to crank up an all rock cable station (no commercial interruptions) and dance. You know that commercial where the lady's looking in the window and sees the man dancing frantically-then the camera shows the entire room and he's following his daughter's dance moves? I keep thinking that's what I look like if anyone peeked in-but there's no daughter.
