What's your use year?

Inspired by rbuzzotta's question, what is your use year?

Multiple answers are allowed, so check all that apply!

I'm February (and waiting for a October contract to come through)!

June use year here and will be doing a small add-on for June too at the BCV!!

We're October, because we usually go to HH in October and to BWV and VB in Feb or March, so this gives us available points, and plenty of time to bank points if we don't do those trips.

June use year on all my contracts.Not the best to have when you mainly vacation in May.

I don't think it makes much of a difference. The key is planning. As most of know circumstances can change the best plan!!

Because DVC determines the number of points, I'm assuming each use year has the same number of points alloted. That means the total number of contracts should be roughly the same for each use year. Other than March, that seems to be the way the poll is going so far.

I agree. Probably a more informative poll would be to see how many people actively picked their use years.

I know I didn't know much about it when I joined and just took the February use year I was given. As it turns out, it works well for me. But that was luck, not me thinking it out and requesting that month.

We have June (BWV) & April (VWL). We bought June specifically for using the points in July. They were offering September at the time, but we insisted on June (yes, they will budge if you push hard enough). They were sold out of June when we bought VWL so April was the next best for us to be able to have them available in July.

We have two contracts BWV & BCV both August use year. When I requested the same year concerning the second contract DVC said it was not a problem. I find it is a little easier to tract use of the points.

We have three contracts with all different use years. My guide thought I was nuts, but I told him that I could keep track of it. I like the fact that my use years are spreadout, March, September and October. Since our family mainly travels to WDW for Thanksgiving/New Years, the Sep and Oct works great. Just in case that we need a little "spring break" or taking other peoples little ones during the summer, the March contract works great to cover.

I have December use year for both BWV and BCV. I didn't know enough to request a use year month, so Dec. is what I got. But so far it's working out just fine.

We're in APRIL and had little interest in actively picking our Use Year; we vacation there at various times rather than during a set season.......

I didn't know we had a choice.

But, March works well for us. We usually vacation in the summer.

I have an August use year, but didn't have a choice. I bought in 3/2002 and they backdated my contract to begin 8/01. Got a great MB deal on it too, I think.

It works out great though, since we vacation in January and my points have to be banked by January 31st.
