What's Your Tipping Point for Disney?

Rich or not walking away from a vacation with a smile that cost 10k is worth far more than walking away miserable from a 2k vacation. Happy is a personal decision. My opinion, the resorts are better as far as customer service. The parks and included are starting to lack making people happy. The food… there are still good places ar semi reasonable prices but that is also subjective to taste and value of entertainment if included.

I can spend around $200 for a weekend of camping fun and walk away with a smile on my face. I don't need to pay up to have a good vacation. In my experience traveling, paying more doesn't result in a better vacation. If I want to feel good, I can simply go for a run.

The problem with Disney right now is that I will spend more now to have a lesser experience than I had before. Those that haven't been won't know that you can now pay more for less. But those who have gone before will experience it.

Not that this qualifies as a tipping point, but I do miss the days of original attractions like Horizons, Maelstrom, etc. and less IPs. IPs are okay, but throwing it together with lower quality attractions doesn't impress me.

Here's my issue. I love Disney, and I can afford to go every year, but at this point I feel like I'm being ripped off with all the money grabbing for many things that used to be free, and lessened experiences and higher prices for others. So I've decided to take a break after my Spring trip, and not renew my AP.

If and when I do go back, I am going to go back to staying off property again for the first time in almost a decade. I'll still be getting my Disney fix, but will be giving them considerably less of my money. Makes me feel a little better.
