I have stayed @ DLH and PP and loved both. I would now like to try GC, cl. Im interested in concierge level @ all 3 hotels.

1. which hotel do you like the best?
2. Which would you recomend and why?

I have two tenative trip planned. The first in early Sept and the other of course (ha ha ha) in Dec.

What do you all out there think? Any suggestions?

I love the decore and size of the rooms at the DLH in the Sierra Tower and the Bonita Tower. The new room decore is fun and semi formal felling at the same time. I like the way the glass doors open against the railing. I love the large bathroom in the Sierra tower rooms.
I though the PP was fine but not nearly as fun or interesting. The public areas are a bit small and bland and there are no grounds to speak of. The view of DCA was awesome though.
The Grand Californian was wonderful. Since the whole think was designed and planned with its theme it feels more complete and is very relaxing. The rooms are somewhat small but very well decorated. There are less "Disney" touches as far as characters and fun go but a richer theme that really works.
The rooms at the DLH and PP feel a bit more airy and bright. The GC rooms have a slight woodsy and darker feel. They also have a balcony which is nice to go sit on, particularly if you have a great view.
I have never done any of the concierge levels.

I have stayed at all three and I like the Grand Californian the best. It's one of my favorite Disney resorts anywhere. The theming is great and it has a very relaxed vibe. It's rustic, yet elegant. It doesn't have the grounds that you would find at a WDW resort. But what it lacks in grounds it gains in convenience, as it's just steps away from either park.

I've stayed at DLH and GC (never really had the desire to stay at PP), and I LOVE GC! I am a huge fan of the Wilderness Lodge in WDW, so it's natural that I am also a fan of GC. It's great if you like lodge-type, woody atmospheres. I haven't been there in december, but I'd bet it's beautiful with a huge tree in the lobby!

If you decide on GC, they used to have a hotel tour in the afternoon which was pretty entertaining.

The rooms are nicely themed at GC, and while all 3 hotels are convenient to the parks and DD, GC is about as close as you can get.

Nothing beats GC for convinience. The architecture and theming is quite nice. We were on the concierge floor with a theme park view - fabulous. It was quite special.

That being said, I can stay at a local 3 star hotel via Priceline for 9 nights for the cost of that themepark view concierge room at GC.

I was lucky to have had the experience, but wouldn't do it again unless I had a substantial discount.:earsgirl:

thanks for the replys. I tried to move our vacation to end of june but all theree hotels are booked. So it will have to be a possible trip in Sept but for sure Dec. Wow! It seems like so long to wait. I can't believe we just returned from WDW about a week ago. I'm hooked! any way thanks again. :)

I have only stayed at teh GC, standard rooms, but we always go in December. Last year, Santa was seated in the lobby for kids to take pictures with. There is also a huge fireplace. I would try one of the other 2 in the summer, and the GC in December. It can't be beat!!
