following a conversation in work, which I've left cos I felt really queasy, I've discovered my food peculiarities are:
I can't stand any food from a tin, I'm the only person in my office who'd NEVER buy tinned fruit/baked beans/puddings :confused3
I really, can't stand the thought of poached eggs - I mean who decided something that came OUT of an animals nether regions would be good to eat? yuck!
Baked bean Juice - yuck, yuck, and even more yuck!

Do you have any peculiarities?

oooh, also lolly sticks - cannot bear the thought of them, oooh I've got shivers just thinking about it, shame, I love Magnums!

Baked Beans yuck, and tinned tomatoes ! Carol I also have the lolly stick problem !!

I eat all of the items on my plate in a particular order. I will eat all of the vegetables, then the potatoes, then the meat.

If someone gives me something to eat I automatically smell it. Makes for some interesting moments:rotfl2: Usually they don't take offence though.

I love horseradish sauce with lamb instead of beef, mint sauce with pork instead of lamb and apple sauce with beef instead of pork.

I also love doughnuts out of McDonalds when they are still frozen:thumbsup2

another peculiarity - I can't stand fruit with meat, makes me quiver when you have apple sauce on meat, I think its a bit like having chocolate on potato, actually that sounds really nice! :rotfl2:

and Florence, how come you've just lost 10 stone and you like McDonalds doughnuts?:confused3

If I have a meat and 2 veg dinner I eat round in a circle. Bit of veg, then meat then potato and I cut them up so I have equal pieces of each.

DBF also hates bean and bean sauce.

:lmao: I have to have my beef thoroughly cooked right through not the slightest bit pink or bloody, my lamb must be cooked with rosemary and and none of my meat should have big bits for fat and gristle yuck !!! My chicken must be free range and my mashed potatoes firm and not lumpy or sloppy like our American friends seem obsessed with eating and gravy should include the stock from the meat and not have lumps, let's just say I'll be keeping well away from some of these on our upcoming trip.:lmao:
;) My bananas must be very yellow but not with any brown spots on them and my peaches plump and nice and juicy, oh I hate grapes with pips too.;)
I like a nice glass of red wine with some proper chocolate (75% or higher cocoa content) when I want to relax.. Bet the tag fairy could have a field day with this info :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

That was the cause of me needing to lose 10 stone:rotfl2:

:lmao:

I love baked beans and mayonnaise on bread

I also smell food before eating it Florence.....but I have always smelt things, not just food....I'm just a bit weird really :rotfl: I do other weird things that I won't bore you all with :goodvibes

I hate the texture, smell taste of Hot Dogs - It makes me gag :scared:

When I eat choccy biscuits I bite all the chocolate off first.

I have tomato sauce in my macaroni cheese - much to DH disgust

Oh God, food peculiarities, my favourite subject. I am soooo weird. I can't bear sauce of any desription on food unless it is sweet sauce in desserts (ie choc, fudge sauce etc.) Peas are the food of the devil to me - just the thought of having to eat one makes me feel ill and, if I go to a restaurant and order something which comes with peas, I have to ask for it without otherwise I can't eat my meal knowing it's been sat next to those horrible green things.

Also, if we have roast pork, I have to have crackling (I love it) but can't eat it until I've finished everything else on my plate - in fact, with most food stuff I always save the best bit for last.

Expanding the 'food' peculiairties a little bit, I am seriously anally retentive about packing my groceries int he supermarket. I can't bear it if the checkout operator starts packing my bags for me and as for when the cubs or guides are doing a charity bag-pack, I get really twitchy and almost break out into a sweat at the thought of them packing my shopping :guilty: Is it just me or is anyone else like this?

I am like that too Joh, I hate anyone else packing my shopping bags :sad2:

I do that as well.

Also if I'm eating something with pastry on it. I take the pastry off and then save it till the end. Then I turn it over and eat the gooey bit first and then the crispy bit.

Yes me too - I hate it! These days though I have been using Tesco.com and hey pack really well!

My wierd thing is I have to pick through chicken before I eat it - I could not stand eating fatty bits or viens Yuck!

I cant stand any type of sauce on my plate, ketchup, brown sauce, salad cream etc. I like all three, but I have to put it on a saucer or small plate so that I can dip my food into it, I can't abide it on the same plate as my food. If I go to Mcdonalds and get a small sachet of ketchup I have to tear the corner and squeeze small amounts onto my fries as I eat them !

I have a problem with things where I can't tell what's in it... such as vegatable lasagne...
Have a weird problem with roast dinners - I can eat so much and then suddenly I am incapable of swallowing the next mouthful (yeah I'm really weird)..

Mine is tea. Cannot abide the mere smell of it - makes me heave.

This can be embarrassing as so many people assume EVERYONE likes tea and I often get a cup thrust at me. I just cant bear it. The smell, the look of it, teabags (especially sodden ones left out), even tea stains in cups make me retch. I cant make people tea either.

I dont drink any hot drinks (coffee, hot choc etc) but I would be able to drink them if I HAD TO. I dont think anything could persuade me to drink tea -oooh, Im going cold just typing this! Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

I also smell food before eating it Florence.....but I have always smelt things, not just food....

I always put my food-smelling down to me having been single for so long, you have to smell EVERYTHING that comes out the fridge just in case its gone off!:rotfl2:

I like to mash my dinner all up, if say I was having a roast dinner, I would cut up my meat, potatoes and veg and mash it all up together (I think this stems from when I had kids as it seemed the only way to eat my whole dinner while it was still warm, one hand feeding them the other feeding myself:rotfl: ).

I also will not have ketchup on my plate next to my food, buying a sandwich is a nightmare as I can't stand mayonnaise and meat cooked or served with fruit is a big no, no .

However, I love beetroot so much I eat it with just about anything and everything, except maybe beans.
