Okay, I'll finally *weigh in* here....(no pun intended)
I agree....you can be slender/thin and still look healthy! Good examples are Demi Moore, Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, Kate Hudson, Alicia Silverstone, Jennifer Anniston, Meg Ryan....all on the slender side, but still looking good with some added muscle tone.
A very close friend of mine while growing up was on the skinny side, she used to get called a bean pole and some not so other nice names...but once she hit puberty, she put on a few pounds, got her curves, and still looks great while still being on the slender side!
Some people have a naturally high metabolism, heck I wish I did! I wish someone would come up to me and tell me I needed to put on a few pounds!
I think the big difference here (as can be seen in before and after photos) is the need/want to be super-super thin. Maybe she feels she will no longer get offered movie roles if she beefs up.
The more people who defend this current "lollipop" look, the more eating disorders there will be.
