With Pandora opening, I'm curious, what is your strategy? Do you find out everything you can about the attraction(s), watch YouTube, etc. or shield yourself from learning about it so you can be surprised?
I try not to see or read anything so I can be wow-ed

I suppose a mix of both. I've read up on Pandora, especially the ride descriptions as I wanted to know if either were suitable for my grandmother (she's 83; Na'vi River Journey will be fine, Flight of Passage not so much!) but I've held back with watching videos of the attractions and looking at photos (aside from those that were artist rendered). I'd like to be a bit surprised when we're there in just about 3 weeks. :)

I added that option!

I'm also a little bit of both, especially with Flights of Passage. I'm fat and don't want to do the Walk of Shame, so I've been looking at ride photos and following posts about how people fit. I've been avoiding Na'vi River Journey spoilers and also spoilers about the new Soarin' film as much as possible because I want it to be a completely new experience for me.

Just need to know if it will bother my motion sickness. Otherwise, I want to be surprised!

Like others I do a little research just to see what type of ride it is, is it jerky, confined spaces, etc. but I don't watch videos. Not because I don't want to see spoilers but just because they usually bore me.

I think it depends on how close to my trip it opens. For example, last year the new Soarin opened about 2 weeks before our honeymoon trip so we did not watch the videos and experienced it first hand live in person. I also did not watch videos of FEA.

However, with Pandora we know it'll probably be about a year before we make a trip so we will probably watch videos of the rides. Also, as an example I live streamed the new HEA fireworks this week, knowing again, it would probably be a year before our next trip.

I haven't seen the movie, so will do that before my November trip. I've been reading food reviews but other than that not seeking out any advance info.

I'm avoiding in-depth descriptions, ride-through photos and videos. I want to be surprised for once! I am reading/watching the restaurant reviews, because I like to know ahead of time if I want to eat at a restaurant and have ideas of what to order.
