What's your favorite xmas song?

Traditional:
The Little Drummer Boy
O Holy Night (Josh Groban version is my favorite)
Mary Did You Know?

Non-traditional:
Where are You Christmas Faith Hill
Grown Up Christmas List

Funny:
12 Pains of Christmas

Thank you for reminding me of this song. The first time I heard it was at my oldest kid's preschool holiday concert. It was a showstopper performed by 3 year olds.

It was also a popular one for school performances back when I was a kid. I have the Mitch Miller & The Gang version in my holiday playlist which is so much fun. I may or may not go into sing-a-long mode when it comes on!
They sang it for the Christmas show in front of the castle at WDW in the late 80's (87, 89, around then)

It really depends on my mood more subdued or more amped up and for me the artist can make all the difference

Subdued
  • Little Drummer Boy but the old version the one from the stop motion film by the same name
  • Silver Bells by Kenny G
  • That's Christmas to Me by Pentatonix
  • Let it Be Christmas- Alan Jackson
  • The Christmas Song- Nat King Cole
  • What Child is This? (First Noel Prelude) by Francesca Battistelli; this one reminds me of the mashup song of Pachelbel Meets U2 by Jon Schmidt which became the song I walked down the stairs to my husband (I didn't walk up an aisle but rather down stairs) at our wedding. The What Child is This/First Noel blends the two songs in a good transition just like the Pachelbel Meets U2 song does.

More amped up
  • Sleigh Ride by Ferrante & Teicher
  • Multiple songs by Trans-Siberian Orchestra
  • Cathedral Heart by Kelley Jakle and Adam Mayfield (it's from a movie called Christmas Harmony)
  • Snow Waltz, Carol of the Bells and I Saw Three Ships- Lindsey Stirling

A mix between the two moods-
  • White Christmas by The Drifters (instantly reminds me of The Santa Clause)
  • Ring Christmas Bells by Ray Conniff/Singers
  • O Holy Night by Mariah Carey

There's more I listen to but the above is pretty consistent and hard for me to call out a fav
