What's your favorite, must have "adult" beverage at WDW?

I was crazy for the mango mojito I got at Petals in Pop when we've stayed there. The last day on our last trip, though, they changed it up a bit and renamed it a "tropical mojito." Still great, and we liked the Captain's Mai Tai served there too.

I prefer the Backscratcher over the Lapu Lapu at the Polynesian myself, although DH is big on the Lapu's.

We always go for the shot floater whenever they're offered at the resort bars. Bacardi 151 is especially nice on top of a pina colada. :)

The Glowtini and Magic Star drinks are nice cocktails, but keep in mind that you're paying a premium for the glowing toys. The volume they take up in a glass equals less drink for you.

Cheers! :drinking1

Awesome thread! Thanks for starting it!

I had a Lapu Lapu on our honeymoon in 2002....it was so good! (I think... I drank it pretty quick and I am a bit of a lightweight so I don't remember:lmao:)

I love the Grey Goose slushies too. I bought DH his first one on our last trip and he loved it. He is not a big Disney World fan but he said that he finally found something that makes him want to go back!

The blood-orange margarita sounds good. I haven't had tequila since college (it didn't end well:sick:) but my DSiL loves it. I'm willing to give it a second chance. Is there a place to get it that isn't a TS restaurant? Can we just go to the bar and order one "to go"? We have the TIW card...is that accepted?

Oh, I can't wait...just 47 more days!

I'm gonna have to go with the Gran Marnier slushie in Epcot.

At Food & Wine, Bacardi Rum had an incredible drink booth that had cherry slushies (with rum, of course) and that was pretty awesome!

Last time we were at WDW we were doing the monorail drink-a-thon I asked about getting the Lapu Lapu without it being served in the pineapple and if I am not mistaken it was only 7 or 8 dollars:thumbsup2

We also liked the top shelf Long Island Iced Tea that was made for us at the Grand Floridian. I was also surprised at the cost for this. It was only $11.

Just for everyone's info, a Lapu Lapu IN a pineapple is $13.25, but it's worth it. :thumbsup2

I also love the Blood Orange Margarita at the Flying Fish, I would love to try one from The Ditch.

I love the Orange Dream at the ASMusic...have to have at least one on every trip.

Yak Attack at the beer window next to Yak and Yeti at AK. It's located by the Kali River Rapids... Yum.

I loved the Grand Marnier Slush at the kiosk at EPCOT's France pavillion. Also worth mentioning is the Yak Attack at the little outside bar on the side of Yak & Yeti at AK.

****** Lime - Coconut Martini ****** From GF on the 2nd Floor Lounge --- It's a Girl Bartender ----- MMMMMM--- Delish ----
WL has them to but not as Delish as GF ;)

1. Jalapeno Margarita from The Ditch
2. Cucumber Margarita from The Ditch
3. Margarita Flight from The Ditch
4. Tequila Flight from The Ditch
5. Cucumber Margarita fromThe Ditch, with a side of Guacamole and Chips.

But I really like the Shandy from Rose and Crown if I don't want to drink too heavy.

But honestly, nothing beats the ice-cold Guinness from the Rose and Crown. Unless it is an ice-cold Beer Flight from Germany.
Or the ice-cold Casa Beer from the Moroccan Pavillion.

I have nothing new to add but I wholeheartedly agree with some of the previous suggestions!

Lapu Lapu - Polynesian
Welsh Dragon - England, Epcot
Blood Orange Margarita - Mexico, Epcot

Now i'm really craving a cider, a cucumber margarita and a blood orange margarita. Thank goodness its only 4 more weeks til I'm there.
OMG, after the day that I've had I just want to fall into those margaritas. The pictures look exquisite!

Coincidentally we're staying at POP! I'll make it a point to head to Petals.

OMG, you're right! I can't believe that never occurred to me. Still, if the glowcube brings me a drink's worth of delight it's worth it. A couple are still gracing homemade glowtinis three years later :goodvibes.

They key to tequila is to drink good, 100% agave tequila like Patron. Read the bottle or ask the bartender. And I plan on visiting the tequila bar in Mexico at Epcot but I'll let you know if I come across it anywhere in my travels.

Dying for a blood orange margarita! That sounds so good!

I see people posting about margaritas from "the ditch". Where is the ditch located?

Strongbow cider at rose & crown pub. Nearly anything from The tequila bar in Mexico.

Try a Strongbow and Black next time. They add a shot of Black Current Liquor to the hard cider and it makes it beyond delicious and refreshing!:cool1::thumbsup2:goodvibes

Lol...i still have several back scratchers from my last trip to poly several years ago!

Not so sure about a Yak attack. I'm a nurse on a GI floor...doesn't really "sound" like an appealing drink.

CLEARLY, I do need to lay off the beer and whiskey flights at Rose and Crown and branch out a little more! What exactly is in a welsh dragon?

Love both the avocado and cucumber margaritas. Can't really think of a specific drink...I'm pretty versatile. I used to have to get a glass of plum wine every time we flitted by China, but now that I found a local store that sells it, the need is not so pressing. I also like the pomegranate kir but I found the Grey goose slush too sweet...which typically is hard to do!

We do love our beer...a Moosehead in Canada, a black and tan in England, a Kirin in Japan, Oktoberfest in Germany, ect.

Keep the ideas coming!

I just had the Grey Goose lemon slushie thing from France last Wed. Added to the "must do" list, and I don't even like lemon or vodka that much!

Also, I love the coffee drink at Morocco. I think it's called the Casablanca: espresso with vanilla liquor and whipped cream. I great after-dinner, pre-Illuminations drink.

Glowtini, glowtini, glowtini! Gotta have it at least once per trip as long as they make it.

I tried the pink Magic Star-tini thing and it was just... strange. How's the Acai Fountain of Youth and/or Ecotini?

(Seems appropos to post this. Yes, I am willing to admit I'm one of these.)

Here is a link to the Yak Attack. I have never tried one but I do believe it is on my must do list for this trip!

"The bright orange and red swirling drink combines mango daiquiri, Bacardi Light Rum, and wildberry flavors, which is then topped off with a cherry. ":cool1::cool1:
