Where is Christmas Eve? That is the only day I am guaranteed off. It is my day and I informed my boss I would only come work for them after they put I would always get 12/24 off.

4th of July - the fireworks, the cookouts, it is in the BEST time of year (summer) and there's no stressing over all those gifts!

I think that Christmas is wonderful but Halloween edges it out just slightly. I just love everything about Halloween! :)

Thanksgiving, without a doubt. I hate christmas shopping, and I love the holiday, but I live in a town that is 40 percent Jewish (not that there is anything wrong with that). So during Christmas, our house is the only one on the block actually lit up, with the exception of my neighbors across the street.

Thanksgiving just seems more of like a party rather than the formal holiday of Christmas though, and it's a holiday that EVERYONE in the US and Canada enjoys (even though they're on different days).

I love Christmas!!!

I voted for Thanksgiving. I enjoy the lazy day, the good food, the football in the background, the guys snoozing on the couch afterwards.

Also, it's usually when I get to see my high school friends, because we all go to our hometown to have Thanksgiving with our parents, then on T-giving night we'll all get together at someone's house, play board games and drink beer. :cool1:

AND I have this weird thing where I don't allow myself to watch Christmas movies or eat pumpkin pie until Thanksgiving. Kinda strange, I know. So later that night someone will probably pop in "Elf" or "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation."

This year, my fiance and I are starting a tradition of our own. On Friday morning we are getting up really early and driving to the Circle Center, a big mall in Indianapolis. It's about 2.5 hours away. We'll shop all day, then we've got a nice room at a hotel that is connected to the mall. So, we'll get gussied up and have a nice dinner somewhere, enjoy the change of pace, and not have to worry about driving back that night...I can't wait!!

As a fun holiday, I love St. Patrick's Day. I usually take the day off and prepare a huge corned beef and cabbage dinner. Guinness is the drink of the evening. :)

I love Christmas :flower: All the wonderful smells and the lovely lights just make it magical.
