Fantasmic Package includes an entree and dessert. My son and I shared the calamari which was better than I expected. My wife had the mixed greens salad which was very good too. For dessert I liked the cheesecake though no one else in my family likes the amaretto flavoring. My wife was not thrilled with the canolli filling chocolate cake.
For entrees we had the strip steak, pork chop and carne d'italia flatbread (meat lovers pizza). All were pretty good. I prefer my pork chop cut a little thicker but you taste the oak fire which was a nice addition.
What is the calamari ?
I've always really liked the flatbreads there.
We did the Fantasmic dinner package in 8/09.
The calamari appetizer was quite good. We get very good fried calamari where we live so I hesitated to order it. (It's a dish that can be absolutely horrible if not well prepared.) DH insisted we get it, and I was pleasantly surprised by how well-prepared it was. MM's version is garnished with lightly-breaded, fried peppers and onions--a bit different than how we get it in my neighborhood, but it was a tasty touch.
I had the steak, and DH had seafood in marinara over pasta. We were both pleased with our entrees. The steak was smaller and thinner than what I'm used to when dining out, but with an appetizer and dessert, it was plenty.
The dessert I had was to-die-for, and sadly, I don't see it listed on the All Ears menu now. It was a hazelnut cheesecake with blood orange sauce. I'd have gone back just for that, but actually, I think we'll be back anyway. The Fantasmic tickets that came with the meal allowed us into a separate entrance for the show, and it was more pleasant walking in that way than it was being herded in with the masses of the general public entrance.
Overall, I think the Fantasmic package is an awesome use of a TS credit.![]()
