Have ressies for Boardwalk view in June! I'm looking forward to sitting on the balcony and listening and watching people on the Boardwalk. Anyone have any favorite room numbers that overlook the boardwalk?

Any room that overlooks the boardwalk is a good room, as far as I'm concerned:teeth: We had a room just above the Screen Door that was very nice. My favorite activity is sitting on my balcony in the morning watching all the crazy people jog by:hyper: It's even better in the afternoon when the temperature goes up into the 80's.

Our last trip down we stayed on the fourth floor over top of the DVC sales center. The view was great, and like stated above, I think all views over the boardwalk would be great.
Only two problems we had with the room were, looooong walk from the elevator.
The other was the noise from the boardwalk. I'm a light sleeper and the noise from people outside woke me up every night. I was able to fall back asleep rather quickly, but annoying.
Even with the noise I think we would stay there again since the rest of the family loved it.

I have stayed in BW view villas all up and down that whole side of the building and I love them all! I have yet to get a BW view villa, that I would not gladly go back to faster than a NY minute! :)
Have a wonderful trip!

We stayed in a room in the Crest o' the Waves building on the 4th floor - the furthest possible from the elevator. We loved it! The view of illuminations was probably as good as you can get. It was great! We often took the nearby stairs instead of the elevator. The view from this room made every step worth it!

Would you all say there is NO BAD view/room on the Boardwalk side? What are the ones with the so called 'enclosed' balconies. Can you still people watch?

I think just about any Boardwalk view is wonderful. For a preference, you might want to request a room nearest the elevator to save walking time, but the view will be beautiful from any of the rooms.

Thanks to all! Im so excited now, I can hardly wait until June!!!!!:Pinkbounc

So all BWV boardwalk views have a view of Illuminations, correct? Those rooms on the inside that face the courtyard are they considered boardwalk view, too?

No, there are no bad view rooms on the boardwalk side. Actually BWV has very few rooms with bad views anywhere but the boardwalk views are exceptionally great.
From an enclosed balcony (and there are only a few of them) you have to stand up to actually see people walking on the boardwalk. You can see YC/BC etc while sitting down but to actually see down to the boardwalk you have to be standing. We like the enclosed balconies because they are bigger and more private.

Yes, all boardwalk view rooms have a view of Illuminations, and of parts of WS and Spaceship Earth.
The Village Green rooms are not considered boardwalk view rooms. They are considered PV. They are great rooms and have a view of the boardwalk but the boardwalk is to the side of these rooms not directly in front of them, like the BW view rooms are.

So I should be safe to tell my 6 year old that our room will have a view of Illuminations? (Cause it is gonna be hard to get her to leave Pop Century... )

I wonder if when i check in I should request a balcony that is not enclosed. I'm just envisioning my girls trying to stand up on the chairs to look out over the wall.

Looking at California Dreaming's picture, I think I'd be more concerned with the open balconies.

I have only stayed at BWV in a boardwalk view room once. I had a one bedroom and it was unit 3001. At the time it was "preferred view" so getting a BW view room made me quite ecstatic

I personally didn't have any issues with where we were located...we had a BW view, that is the only thing I cared about  However, my husband complained about the lonnnnng walk to the elevators--and no he wasn't exagerating...we were the LAST room...we had the longest to walk :teeth: My best friend also was with us and she complained about the loud music from the clubs...we were right next to Jellyrolls and while we were three floors up, you could hear the music. However, the balcony doors shut out much of the noise. We were in the 'Crest of the Wave' building....our unit had two open railed balconies....which I have to admit I really enjoyed. The BCV balconies are more enclosed and I definitely prefer them open!! ::yes::

Here are the pics of views from the unit I was in (I want to go back :( )

Really bad pic...I didn't have my digi cam yet!

This was the building we were in...three floors up, the two balconies on the very right side

I have another picture that shows a pretty decent view but I'm in it and I don't want to post it

Hope this helps

I agree totally ::yes:: I am spoiled with BW view...could not do it any other way!!

No I wouldn't guarantee that. I was on the 3rd floor and we could only see some of the higher fireworks...it was by no means the show we got from BCV!! I doubt the lower BW view floors could see much at all. I would think the 4th and 5th floors probably could see it pretty well though.

We have always been able to see the high fireworks from Illuminations from a boardwalk view villa even on the 2nd & 3rd floors.
You can not see the globe and the lower fireworks from any of the rooms, you have to be in the park to see that.
