My crew and I are heading down in a week. First time for the kids and DH and I haven't gone in over 15 years.

I'd like some opinions from the great DISers out here....

What is your cannot miss item when you go to WDW? The one thing (or two or three) you have to do, regardless of how short your trip is. Things that make your Disney trip complete.

Please don't limit yourself to rides/attractions. Thanks:)

In MK, it would be a toss-up between Haunted Mansion and BTRR.
In MGM, it is now ToT!!!!
Epcot...between Spaceship Earth(for me, not dd) and Mission Space.
AK...Festival of the Lion King

MK..... Wiinie the Pooh, Space Mountain and Mickey Philharmagic.
MGM.....Tower of Terro
Epcot..... Test Track
AK.....Festival of the Lion King

We also never miss the parades or evening firework shows.

Mickey Philharmagic ! and then Mickeys Philharmagic one more time!

Illuminations! And now my new favorite Living Statues they are so cool!

Having a meal in the Castle!

Admiring the Tree of Life!

Having a bucket of popcorn or a Mickey bar sitting at the Liberty Tree in MK!

I could probably go on and on but these are the must do's!

MK: Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin and looking for Princesses at the Expo Hall in the late morning
EPCOT: Seeing all the countries
MGM: Seeing the movie props at the AFI Showcase and usually the Animation Tour (only skipped it twice, I think).
AK: Kilimanjaro Safaris Safari and Maharajah Treck

Mine are:
Illuminations
Peter Pan ride

One "cannot miss" is Splash Mountain. This will probably sound corny, but when I go flying down that huge drop, I envision all my tension and stresses flying away, then as I gently bob at the bottom to the tune of "Zip-a-dee-do-dah", I'm a new, happier person (at least I try).
My other "cannot miss" is Illuminations. I'm amazed at how well choreographed that is, how well timed the fireworks and music are.

Smoke Turkey Legs! I am telling you, if you haven't had one......they are STUPENDOUS! Juicy, hot and very very yummy.

I also like the Buzz Lightyear attraction.

Pixie Me Dust..........Tag ME Fairy.......if you can catch me!:wave2:

We are taking a short 4night/3 day trip next month.
Are MUST DO's are

Haunted Manison (at least twice)
Peter Pan
ToT
Spaceship Earth
Test Track (for my son, he loves it)
Safari
Dinosaur (again for my son)
Pirate of the Cabbriean

And since we never have done Mission Space, Mickey's Philharmagic or CoP those are a must do also.

There are others we would LOVE to do but these are our MUST DOs....everything else is just icing on the cake :teeth:

Where do you get these? Sounds delish..

You can get them at The Lunching Pad in MK, at Discovery Island in AK and a few other places I can't think of right off hand.

I wouldn't miss the rock n roller coaster, ToT, illuminations and fantasmic. Plus a walk around the lake at the boardwalk and yacht and beach club.

Just enjoy the excited feeling of "being there"

Honey I Shrunk the Audience

Splash Mountain (supposedly there's a little creature that pops out of the ceiling just before the drop and says "Go OSU", now even though I'm a WI Badger fan, I can't wait to check that out and this will be the first time I get to ride it at night!!! YIPPEE!!!)

Illuminations

Maelstrom at Norway

Lunch at Norway's little outside cafe

Dinner at Le Cellier

I really can't miss a trip to the Tiki Room - even under new management, although I miss so wholeheartedly the old version.

I love standing on the bridge to Adentureland and looking at the castle.

I can't miss Figment

I can't miss shopping in France and having a glass of wine

I can't miss walking through the castle

and most importantly, I can't miss a night out in PI with my DH - Adventurer's Club - KUNGALOOSH! - Comedy Warehouse - and then off to the PI Jazz Club for desert and fabulous music.

There are so many "must do's"

MK - Splash Mtn, Space Mtn, BTMRR (closed during our visit Nov 1 :( , Jungle Cruise, Buzz, Mickey's Philharmagic, and of course Spectromagic and Wishes

Epcot - MISSION: SPACE!!!!!!!!!!! oh and Test Track also I guess

MGM - Rockin Roller Coaster, TOT, and FANTASMIC!!!!!!!!!!!

AK - Legend of the Lion King and the Kali River Rafts

At AK - Having lunch from Tusker House outside at the Dawa bar, watching the African Drummers. Just love the whole feel of this!

For rides - Peter Pan's Flight, Haunted Mansion, and Spaceship Earth.

WOW!!! So many great suggestions. I'll be sure to try all those things. My last memory of WDW was when I was a child and looking up at the castle and just thinking.... oh my gosh.... it's so big and beautiful! That was when there was only MK and Epcot.

Now we're finally going to get to go again! I'm so psyched!!

7 more days....:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
