What's your AK plan?

With the new night offerings, I would like to know how those who have just 1 AK day scheduled plan to visit the park.

Well we plan to arrive in the afternoon . I'm guessing the Jungle Book show will start at 8:30 or 9:00? I have no idea but we are trying to keep those times open. Now that I think about it I don't even think it is dark at 8:30 in June. I'm just going to make Dinosaur for around the time I think the show will be then switch it to Jungle Book if they have FP for it. The park is open until 11:00 the day we go. I make FP+ tomorrow so I think I will book us Everest for 9:00-10:00 and the sunset safari 10:00-11:00. I really don't know for sure but would like to know others plans also.

We have 3 FP+ booked and that's it. We will just go with the flow after that. I don't like to be somewhere every minute I'm on vacation. I'd like to stay (or come back) towards evening to see the new nighttime things, but I'm not rushing to anything!

I'm splitting it over 2 days, since we won't have PHs, and want to max out FPs there. On our full day we'll hit RD, and follow our usual park touring plan, leaving sometime in the afternoon.. Then on our "non-park day" we'll have an early dinner and hopefully have FPs for the evening safari, Jungle Book show/ ROL, and EE.

Not arriving until 11am. We're there before any of the night events are premiered, so an early out and back to the hotel. I'm disappointed that they don't have anything new for early May, but...maybe the early night will be needed by that point.

We still plan on visiting one day & if we have time one night before going to another Park, we may stop over and watch RoL. We have Park hoppers

AK is our last park day of the trip, and opening night for their nighttime hours and events. As of right now, I have FP+ booked for late morning through lunchtime. If/when anything "new" shows up as a FP option, I will switch to those. We plan to spend all day in the park from opening to close.

I think they do have the night time FP available now. Maybe I'm wrong but thought read that people were getting some? Maybe someone knows for sure.

Yes, they have some nighttime FP+ for existing attractions, but no FP+ for anything "new" (like Jungle Book). I'd rather be able to do 4th, 5th, etc SDFP throughout the afternoon, than have my FP tied up waiting to do EE after dark. The standby waits are likely to be very high due to Memorial Day weekend, and an 8pm ITTBAB is not FP+ worthy LOL.

We won't be going until February, so for now the plan is to watch and listen for how late the park will be open, when the shows will be, etc. AK has always been a one day park for us since I'm highly allergic to animal hair and can only seem to make it half a day anyway. A decision may need to be made between an early morning safari (father's favorite) or staying late. Of course, with HS now basically a one-day or even half-day park.....

I think my plan is insane, but we plan to get there at RD, 10:45 FP for Dinosaur, 12:30 res for WAT, FPs for Everest and Kali, ADR for Tusker at 6:00, and see what we can do after that. I think we will be beat.

I'm kinda tired of planning so I may not adjust and just see what happens, lol. Right now we will get there around 9 or 10 and FPs are between 10:30-2:30, then hit another ride or three (depending on crowds). Go back to hotel and hang and/or swim. If we are up to it and I hope we are we will return and see the JB show, try to see the Tree thing and Safari.

Yes! What time does it happen to get dark? I made my KS FP for 8:25-9:25 (is it dark at 8:25?) What time should I make my EE FP for it to be dark

I googled it and it said that sunset is at 7:59. So I got the latest EE FP I could from 7:25 - 8:25 and then booked KS from 8:25 - 9:25 figuring that the sun is hitting the horizon at 8 p.m. so an 8:25 KS should be just about perfect.

My plan is to go to AK on our arrival day either after dinner or for dinner. Then do EE, KS and Kali with fast pass. I don't have an real interest in the new fireworks show in the "lite" version so I think we will skip it for some other non-FP rides instead. I make my FP this week so I'm anxious to see what will be available.
