What's your 2016 vacation plan?

My pass expires at the end of January, but even before the announcement of refurbs and closures next year, I wasn't going to renew anyway. (I'm moving out of the country for a year starting in September.) I'm going to use my pass to death until it expires, and I may do one of the two-day SoCal Resident tickets in the spring if they offer them again and I need another Disney fix. Otherwise I'm planning on taking advantage of Harry Potter World opening in April and plan to go once or twice over the summer.

We are going to DL at the end of August. It will my kids' first time and our first time staying on property!

We will be going to Disneyland 18Sep thru 01Oct. We will be buying our annual passes at that time. We went to DW this year, so can't wait to get back to DL, hopefully we will be able to do a Halloween Party while we are there. We will also be doing Knotts and Universal.

We are going in July. We are taking my nephew with us as well. We will be driving from Washington (first time driving there!) and taking 4 teens ages 17, 16, 15 and 14. Yup, we are a bit crazy but know it will be a blast. It will be my nephews first trip anywhere out of state. We are also going to try and stay at Best Western Park Place Inn & Suites instead of the Tropicana (where we usually stay) because there will be 6 of us. I'd love to hear thoughts on that hotel if anyone has stayed there.

DH does not want to go back to Disneyland for a few years after our November 2015 trip. The crowds really put a damper on our Disney magic. This summer we planning to stay with family in Riverside County and visit Hollywood/Legoland/San Diego. I am really hoping I can convince DH to go to Disneyland just for one day during our stay.

That's sorta the feeling we got. Our last two trips in mid-November had been really great. But this time around, it was soooo busy all the time. Plus with several attractions down, we seemed to get a little jaded. Maybe once Potter opens, DL will return to normal. Or that just might bring more people to LA and fill up DL even more!

We did Legoland at the end of our last trip and the kids keep talking about wanting to go back. Definitely something they loved. For me, it was just OK. But that will probably be in our future plans.

We certainly got as much DL as we could with our APs - I think the website said we entered the parks on at least 27 days. As much as I already miss being at DL, we're looking at a cruise with some friends or maybe even a return to WDW. I need to spend some time away so that I can appreciate it more when we return. It's just that the kids are still young and I don't want to let too much time pass.

We're going in April. I think. Hotels have been booked but I'm still waiting on DH's job to approve his vacation.

We had to cancel our oct 2015 vacation because I got really ill over the summer. I'm bummed about the closures, but we haven't been to DLR since 2013 and I NEED to go!!! I don't want to put it off any longer.

Our plan is 5 days in DLR and then drive over to Carlsbad to stay at the LL hotel. One day at Lego and one day at the San Diego zoo, then back home. DD is 8 and since it looks like we're aiming for a trip every 2-3 years, she may be past the LL age the next trip (not past the age to love Lego, but to really enjoy the rides at the park) so I want to get one last visit.

We are a different breed, we are heading to DL to take a break from WDW. There is just way to much going on there, as far as construction is concerned, that we decided that we needed to take a break and head back for our second trip out west. We will be there in June when our kids get out of school and will be staying in a 2 bedroom villa at VGC from 6/8-6/17. Even though we are staying at VGC the whole trip, we are planning on renting a car for a few days to explore Anaheim, lay on a beach somewhere, or maybe just take a drive up the coast (something I would love to do...have never seen the Pacific Ocean before).

We were originally thinking about a family trip for the summer of 2016. Then the closures for construction on Star Wars land were announced and I knew we had to get out here BEFORE that happened, so we're doing 5-day hoppers the first week of January. It's the first time since our '03 trip that we're doing day-tickets instead of annual passes (and it will also just be the girls since my DH has to work and the little one isn't ready and the oldest one doesn't care). We decided there was no way we were going to pay for annual passes (and we'd want Signature+ for sure) for a family of 6 while all that construction is going on. So, I don't know now what we'll do for 2016. We're definitely in wait-and-see mode. If hubby's new job goes as well as we think, we may be able to swing an Aulani trip in 2016. :)

The crowds and construction have caused me to take a break as well. My annual pass expires this Monday, and I won't be renewing. Instead, next year the husband and I are going on an Alaskan cruise! I am really excited about it.

Our Deluxe AP's expire in Feb. and we have really used them! We have averaged 1 trip per month with these AP's. I am ready to take a break, but my DS and DH want to keep them. With all of the construction, I would just rather use the money for something else. It has been a couple of years since we have been to Hawaii and I would love to plan a trip there!

Our passes expired a few months ago and we decided to give Disneyland a break. Didn't like the direction things were going with all of talk of extended closures due to Star Wars land. Maybe next year we will go back, maybe not. We are waiting to see how things go with the crowds after they close the Rivers of America.

I have a lot of big vacation plans for 2016... First I will definitely renew my AP in when it expires. I will also be visiting Iceland for a week in January. Next I'm headed to New York for a few days before boarding a ship for a 12-day cruise. I'll be headed to WDW for a week in April. I will also travel to Ohio for a friends wedding and finally sometime before the end of the year I might just go on another cruise but I haven't confirmed that trip yet. I know I'm very fortunate and blessed to be able to afford to do this and I don't want to waste these opportunities.

I'm buying a pass in January for a 10 trip, and then I'm hoping I'll be able to go again either in October or December...

I'm also thinking about going to Vegas in June. (:

Reply to MommyLove: I really love your display of scrapbook pages!! :D Also, great to see you journal with the pics which most people forget to do this!!!

We have APs but are from Seattle, not local, so we only used them 3 times this year. Spent 16 days at DLR. 2016 we are doing something different and trying Disney's Hilton Head property in the Spring and taking a Disney cruise in the fall. Flying into Orlando for both, so I just might find an excuse to head into WDW a few days but mostly this is an 'off' year for the parks. We'll next visit DLR Spring of 2017. Don't know how I'm going to last that long!!

I will not be returning until all the construction is done and Disneyland is back to normal. I figure that will be approximately 2018. Sounds like a long way off but if all goes well I will be 4 years cancer free and can celebrate.

We just did our first Aulani trip in October, back to our "regular" vaca schedule of DL in February (17-19), and then October some time.

My daughter and I are going to CA for the 1st time ever March 30th til April 9th. In that plan we are doing San Diego for 2.5 days then Disney, LA, US, malibu and just going to explore CA. We did buy the Vip exp for US and 5 day non hopped for Disney. We are WDW vets so looking fwd to DL

We will be in DL for one week in May 2016, if Soarin' is open. My parents are coming this time and Soarin' IS Disney to my mom! They cannot go often, so it would be a deal breaker. We will move the trip if it will be under refurbishment.

Going back to Belize in March, maybe for the last time in a while. This will be my 26th trip but I am discovering I like road trips best. A trip to DL Resort may be happening in the fall since I feel the need to visit my daughter in CA coming up. That is my usual excuse every few years when she can't make it back to WI.
