What's your #1 park tip?

Take advantage of EMH or arrive at park opening. You can enjoy the most popular rides with minimal wait and use your afternoons for other things.

We just got back and totally agree that you must be at the park at opening. We were able to get most of the major rides/attractions done in the first 2 hours leaving the rest of the day to check out all that was left. If you miss the first 2 hours plan on feeling like a salmon swimming up stream and you will definately not get much done.

Be flexible......

Sometimes a plan may look great on paper but there are so many vairables....Remember you can't do it all in 1 trip.

Just have fun!

Totally agree with being at the park at opening. My newest tip, attend Fantasmic on Tuesday night, second showing. We were able to get great seats 15 minutes before the 9:00 show. We had adr's at Boma at 7:00 and still made it with ease.

Get there early and take time to enjoy all the little things that Disney does so well (the attention to detail, the interesting queues, the landscaped grounds & flowers, etc.).

Again like everyone else has said get there early. After that big one I would say, take time to stop and smell the roses. Meaning you can't see everything so don't even try. All you will end up doing is tiring yourself out. Maine :firefight

Arrive 20-30 minutes before park opening.

Plan to arrive 20-30 min before the park opens. It made all the difference.

On the days we did, we got on over 10+ rides before lunch time. On the one day we decided to take it leisurely and got there at 10am, we hardly got anything done! Lines were too long and everything was crowded-- it totally threw us off our game.

If you don't ride every ride or see every show, don't worry about it. Focus on your family and making the most out of the time you have there.

I never thought I would have ever said the above statement, but seriously, make all the plans you want and can, but don't get upset if it falls apart. Don't lose focus about the important parts of the trip: relaxing/being with friends.

I totally agree - relax and have fun. That's what it is all about!

Drink plenty of water! This might seem like such a simple tip, but trust me, you need to make sure to do this. I learned the hard way last week just how important drinking plenty of water and fluids is. I didn't drink enough water and I got a very bad stomach ache. We went to Le Cellier for dinner (luckily, I was on the dining plan) and could only eat four bites of my steak. All that I could eat without getting sick to my stomach was pretzel bread. It was horrible because I really wanted to eat there. What I did taste was very yummy though!

If you're on line waiting for a particular ride/attraction, plan your route to the next couple of landmarks you want to hit- sometimes lines can be boring, but it's a good way to pass the time with your family...plus it may save you time on your way to the next attraction. :)

I'll add to the "get there early" chorus, particularly during busier times of the year. You can get more done at MK the first 2 hours of operation at busy times of the year than you can the entire afternoon.

Don't save any "must do"s for the last day of your trip--even if you think it will be fun to "go out with a bang" :wizard: , your plans can be ruined by rain or timing or unforseen problems. Do the "must do"s early and then sit back and enjoy--maybe you can fit it in a second time on the last day :teeth:

The tip about getting to the parks early works best for those who are normally early risers! My family likes to get there early and then return to the room shortly after lunch for a swim/nap. We then venture back out about 4pm until closing. Our plan didn't work for our friends. They are late sleepers and wouldn't hit the parks until about 11am and then stay until close. Both plans work fine. I think you need to decide what works best for your family. :earsgirl: However, a late night followed by an early morning probably isn't a good idea.

My best tip is to plan one sit-down meal with a reservation per day. You can then count on an air-conditioned place to rest, eat, and regroup. You always have the option of cancelling the reservation if you want to change your plans.

We also leave the last day unplanned. We can then re-do a favorite attraction or have time for something that was missed during the week.

Wear comfortable shoes! Expect a lot of walking. Whether you get there early or stay late by the time your feet are in bed you'll feel like you walked to the moon and back! :) Another tip.. :goodvibes expect the unexpected. You are on vacation with 200,000 other people! Have fun! :goodvibes
