What's with the Jesus skywriting?

Sadly I had to work with a guy who spewed unfounded stuff like this all the time. According to him all fossils were fake or planted by Satan to confuse man and dinosaurs (and other extinct species) never walked the Earth.

Of course there was nothing to ever back this up other than he heard about it at chuch (this was pre-internet).

Carl Sagan and other prominment scientist have estimated that the chance of man evolving is roughly 1 in 10 2,000,000,000( the 2,000,000,0000 is suppose to be higher up and alot smaller)This number is 1 with 2 billion zeros.according to Borels law,this is no chance at all.

What? I am watching a video on youtube right now where Carl Sagan is talking about Evolution.

Some of these I am familiar with- and ones like Piltdown man were deliberate hoaxes meant to scam people.

Others were once thought to be true but since have been proven not to be. And that is science in action. Cold fusion? Flat earth? The earth as the center of the universe (as stated in the bible)? All those were once proved to be true scientifically- until knowledge and understanding reached a point where we discovered them not to be.

Most christians believe that dinosaurs walked the earth and they dont believe that satan planted fossils.You shouldnt judge what all christains believe based on one.

I'm simply waiting for a source that comes from somewhere without an agenda to disprove science in favor of the bibles stories.

Not what I said, but nice try. I posted that the hoaxes don't keep people from still believing. I'll add that the hoaxes alone do not disprove any one religion just as a hoax does not disprove science.

Something can be flat and round The earth was almost always thought to be round, but not always thought to be a sphere.

Isaiah 40:12 (written 2,800 years ago): "Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His hand . . ."

We are told that God has measured the waters and set a proper amount of water on the earth. Modern science has proved that the quantity of water on earth is just enough for our needs. If the sea became three meters deeper, the water would absorb all the carbon dioxide and nitrogen, and no creature could live any longer.

What the heck? This makes no sense. The solubility of gases in water (even seawater) is so low as to be neglible. Not to mention the fact that warm water holds less dissolved gases than cold. 100% of the earth's surface could be covered in water and it would have very little effect on the amounts of gases in the atmosphere.
I won't even get into the fact that there are plenty of living things that could exist quite happily without a constantly renewing source of carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and even oxygen.
