What's with the chicken?

I keep meaning to ask, but I keep forgetting to post. What is the deal with the chicken in the Mnsshp parade? Is it some old Disney character? I just don't get why they have some big chicken clucking along to the music. It is pretty funny, but why is it there?

I am just guessing, I saw the parade last night and it is an odd addition, but I was thinking I may have remembered it from the old Easter parades they used to have. I miss that parade on TV. It was a favorite Easter morning tradition.

most of that barnyard unit is older disney characters: clara cluck, horace horsecollar, clarabelle cow.

it was more of a treat prior to this year when those characters could only be seen in the parade. they brought out horace and clarabelle for meet & greets on a regular basis since. clara also does meet & greets but on a much rarer basis

Thank you for that clarifification, we were dumbfounded by her presence in the parade. I will say thate it is funny to hear her cluck on the CD we brought home with us. What do they mean when they say "Ghost writers in the sky" as part of that verse?

I've worked several Halloween parties and can hear the parade music clear as day at the turnstiles. Several cast members and I cannot stand to hear Clara Cluck! We'd love to find a way to stop the clucking!
We love to hear guest comments as they watch the parade about the chicken though. One little boy did not enjoy listening to her cluck and covered his ears. It was cute.
