What's up with Jan. 18th?

I tried to extend my long MLK weekend AKL ressie to include the 18th at CSR and it was booked. In fact, everything was booked at Fl Res/AP rates except ASMu. No rooms at CSR at regular rates either. I could get CSR on the 17th but already have AKL. Anything special going on?

It might be because it is Martin Luther King Day weekend. A three day holiday for those who have off on Monday the 19th.

You might have a lot of people in for the weekend. I'm sure there is probably a big event that I am missing too.

There seems to be a bunch of things going on! MLK weekend - some sort of college cheerleading competition - and someone else posted that they were moved out of CSR because of a big convention coming in!

I'm not afraid, though! Well maybe a little . . . .

I know IBM has a convention going on that week and CSR is one of the hotels they're recommending.

I figured there was something up... thanks for the info. Hey Harambe - we'll be at AKL Jan. 16th - maybe we'll see ya there. This is our first time staying there - went to visit and the kids loved it and wanted to try it. Cant wait!!
