So, what are you drinking? (Me? Thank you for asking, a Midtown Manhattan, of course).

What are you eating? (Me? Thank you for asking, yesterday I made a huge batch of homemade "gravy" with sausage, homemade meatballs, and chicken falling off the bone. Gonna make sandwiches when we have a friend come over).

What are you watching? (Me? Thank you for asking, nothing right this second, but you know there is a football game on this afternoon. Yup, ONE game - Eagles versus Cowboys. Donovan versus TO. Which one are you watching?)

What are you planning as your next WDW vacation? (Me? Thank you for asking. We're gonna be there the week after Thanksgiving 2007 and hoping a few of you are too!)

So, friends, where are you and what are you doing?

Eating left over fried rice!

Watching NASCAR

Vacation at WDW? Your kidding right? Who would go there for vacation? We all know where Mike vacations!

Side note, threw my back out yesterday at work, so going light today, just waiting for DH tonight!

Hi Viki!
Good morning, Everybody!!!!!! Hope you all had a good weekend! :)
Drinking: Diet Mountain Dew
Eating: Left-over chocolate bithday cake from DM's birthday party yesterday
(Hmmm.. definitely some beverage/breakfast dissonance here...)
Watched about 1/2 an hours worth of Dexter last night (wanted to see if I was over-reacting -- Results:mixed feelings it IS very well done (Holy smoke! He DID get some on himself!) but the carnival freak show overtones are still just too much fer me. I doubt I'll watch it again.)
Next trip to the world -- a week from Tuesday. Woo-hoo! :Pinkbounc

Hey Viki!

Still at work so drinking H2O. But within 3 hours will be drinking :drinking1 a nice cold Michelob Ultra in my Grumpy beer stein :hourglass

Not eating anything right now, except Altoids. Boy, I'm full of excitement.

Right now I'm doing some "research" on the computer - lol ... shhhh, don't tell my boss! :surfweb:

Our next vacation at WDW will be November 2007 for our G&L super-sized meet. Who all is joining in on the fun with us??

Penny

At work drinking iced tea...
Just finished a Nutri=grain bar--does that count as eating???
I'm doing similar research to PennyW... :rotfl2:
My next WDW vacation; unsure--probably 2008...

Going to Disneyland Resort at the end of this month; to the caribbean in January and to northern Europe / Baltics in July...

I'm drinking nyquil...yuk :sad2:

Not eating anything not feeling too hot.

I'm getting ready to watch "Heroes" :thumbsup2

My next WDW vacation is Jan 2007 but that's all planned...my next trip
i was thinking the same week you were...the week after Thanksgiving 2007...and thinking about staying at AKL...haven't stayed there yet. Ive read your trip reports and have seen the great pics you've taken at AKL....maybe i'll see you there :wave2:

OK, friends, it's another week, what are you up to? pirate:

In the moment, I'm drinking a diet coke, wanting a fully caffeinated green tea, after preaching three worship services this morning, and contemplating two midtown manhattans, which I will, I promise, drink one at a time! :rotfl:

Likewise, not eating anything in the moment, but my 17-year old was just asking that perennial question: What's for dinner? He didn't believe my response of roast beef, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and cranberrry sauce. Smart boy. Except that really is what I plan to serve, all out of boxes and cans! Won't he be surprised. :joker:

Having just suffered through an Eagles loss, I am watching Meercat Manor, otherwise known as "comfort" TV. :teeth:

Just finished off a peach Fresca! Who would have thunk!

Not eating yet but heading out in a few minutes to partake of some osso bucco and risotto lovingly prepared by a chef friend of ours. We promised her we'd bring the champers and pinot noir (LOVE Toad Hollow)!

Had enough TV the past few days with the Tigers and As... and as a former Michigander very pleased the Tigers are in the World Series!

Next vacation.... next Sunday, the 22nd on the Wonder for the DVC member cruise. Oh yeah, we are really looking forward to this!

Oooooh, WOW, between the osso bucco and the Disney Wonder, I am soooo jealous!!! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Ahhh, a pinot sounds wonderful right now but I've been fighting a migraine all day and should avoid drinking with my drugs. Dinner was quite interesting - went to my parents' house and we had a load of people to eat, get warm and do laundry since so many are still without power. I went to church today and can't believe how bad it is everywhere. Trees are down all over and some areas are impossible to drive through. I have a large tree in my front yard that is seriously damaged and I lost a few limbs in the back yard, but all in all I made out well. My neighbors weren't so lucky - they have a massive maple in their front yard and the broken branches literally fill up their front yard. They had beautiful covered patio with a cloth awning that is no more. But as strange as it is, today I was walking around in just a shirt, no jacket, thinking how nice the weather was. I really need my vacation ... less than a week!

Drinking a coke (the hard stuff -- ALL the sugar and ALL the caffeine)
Eating Triskets -- made some beef barley soup but it won't be done for about an hour and a half still -- plan to do some cornbread too.
Replacing the countertop in the boy's bathroom was the Big Doin's here today. DH calls projects like this: gumption traps (He got the expression from a really good book published years ago -- Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maitenance). You start with one tiny little project and then they grow...and grow...and GROW. Next, we'll put down new vinyl and then we'll paint. Who knows -- the next step after those might be a chinchilla lined shower curtain. :confused3
Driving down to Phoenix tomorrow night to catch my earlybird flight to the world on Tuesday. LOOK OUT FOOD & WINE FESTIVAL -- Here I come! :goodvibes If anybody's there @ the same time and wants to visit, I'll be tenting @ Fort Wilderness Tues -- Thurs nights and would love to meet up. I'm trying to squish some halloween decorations in my already bulging suitcases but I DO plan to have a giant LGMH hanging off the tent somewhere to make myself and my loyalties recognizable. :rotfl:
This whole trip is one big experiment (trying to see how inexpensively I can do this -- and still have gobs of fun) so I hope I'll be able to put together and post some kinda trip report afterwards. We'll see -- Awful big shoes to fill  : Viki, Horsegirl, Utah Mama, and dare I cite the Shakespeare of the trip board himself: ZZUB. Like I said -- We'll see.

Looks like we're going to miss each other. I am totally looking forward to the Food & Wine Festival ... never have a plan of attack but I'm try to eat and drink as much as I possibly can! Tent camping? I give you credit ... I need a hot shower and a comfortable bed. Probably a stupid question but do you bring your own tent or rent one?

Tenting at the Fort Sue? I love the fort, but dont think I could tent camp, sorry! My idea of roughing it is a hotel without room service! When you get a hankering for a good meal grab a ride to the golf course next door for some good vittals!

The osso bucco was quite tasty! Started the whole short evening off with a bottle of Mumm Reserve Brut. The pinot was a perfect accompaniment to the main course. I'm so glad I love food! 3 days of Food and Wine after the Wonder.... and first time at BWV!

Well, it's been a water day for me...and eating, well, it was good! My dad came over for dinner...he'd requested good ol' fried chicken and dumplings...must have been good cause there wasn't a dumpling left in the pot and only 3 outta the like 16 pieces of chicken were leftover. And since I knew he was a coming over, I baked him a cake, just a butter cake with some canned frosting, but he must have liked it...took 2 pieces home. :goodvibes

I've been watching the news for info about the earthquake in Hawaii...my friend there and her family are fine, just shaken like the cupboards. :thumbsup2

Next trip to WDW...honey, whenever the chance comes up...I so wanted to be there for my 40th last week, but alas it wasn't to happen. :sad2: So, I'm just a wishin' and a hopin'....

Thanks for asking Viki!

So sorry I am going to miss you.
This whole thing is all SUCH an experiment -- my family is all laughing :rotfl2: because ordinarily I am SO not camping-inclined ("Totally a room-service princess", DH complains.) I am renting a tent ($30.00/day +tax) for 2 reasons: A. CMs will put it up for me (Lazy, lazy me  ) and B. It leaves room in my checked luggage for an big honkin' inflatable bed (because I too need a good comfy sleep to stay happy  ). The jury is still out on how hot the comfort station showers are -- but I'll be sure to share all the gory details when I get back.
