OK, let's see:
DRINKING: Currently, I am drinking FRESCA!
But I do have plans to switch to something a tad harder. I'm thinking my own version of an appletini might be called for. That's where I mix my Ketel One Vodka with extra dry vermouth and then wave a green apple like a magic wand over this most excellent brew!
EATING: Nothing in the moment, but I'm cooking up a storm. Tonight's dinner is shrimp gumbo accompanied with a nice medley of sauteed okra, onions, tomatoes, and EVOO. Yum yum.
I'm also whipping up a batch of baked eggplant in tomato sauce for tomorrow night's dinner. I've got a doc's appointment in the afternoon and don't want to come home, crash, and then eat something BAD. I save the BAD for the beverages!
WATCHING: Well, right this second, the Eagles/Redskin game is on, but I can't really be accused of WATCHING it. It's more like white noice, only darker.
NEXT VACATION: OMG, would you look at that!
Apparently some lucky family is visiting WDW very, very soon. I use the word "lucky" advisedly because we booked this "emergency" trip back a few months ago, when I actually had a regularly paying gig, a gig which ended today.
I still have plenty of work, just not as much money.
(And, really, money is the least of it - we're not hurting. More importantly, I'm gonna miss the folk I've been working with
- well, at least MOST of them!
)
In any event, we'll have to be a bit more cautious than we usually are with the big, bad, buck. Less food, more drinking. Sounds like a solid plan, eh?
Not sure what the kids are gonna do!

since I am currently kitchenless for about a week
Seriously, we just hosted our best buds, Danny and John (you'll remember them from the 2005 TR) for the week of Christmas, with me cooking up a storm every night, not to mention our annual Christmas Day trip down to Chinatown for dim sum, and for today we'll be hosting the inlaws for our annual New Year's Day get together. The menu includes my world famous pot roast and lots of other goodies.
Who'd a thunk it?
Unseasonably hot temps.
