Hello,
There is a wing/view that we've stayed in once before and want to request again. Stupidly we forgot to note our room #. It's the wing closest to Epcot. We want the side of the building that faces the walkway to the Yacht Club. I know we didn't pay for an Epcot fireworks view, although that may be how it's described. I believe we booked a resort view with balcony room. Maybe we were upgraded? So how would we request that part of the hotel when booking? Thanks so much.

Uh oh...my question got lost on page two ;-). Giving it a bump. Anyone know?

I believe the side closest to the YC is the east wing and the side closest to the pool is the west wing.

You want a water view room, epcot view, with a balcony. 3 upcharges on their system when I went a few weeks ago. I was asked if I wanted to pay $30 to upgrade to a water view room. I said no, then she asked if I wanted to pay $30 to upgrade to a balcony room. I said no, then she asked about the epcot view - I said no.

If you get to your room and are unhappy in any way go right back to the front desk and ask for a different room. They are so HUGE they can quickly pull out the room book and show you where a different room woud be. I now leave my luggage in the car or with the bell staff and check out the room before I drag it around because I am picky with rooms - they can't smell moldy, can't be next to the elevator or stairs, and can't smell like smoke.

Took 3 tries to get an acceptable room (next to construction I wasn't aware of, but wasn't really inconvenienced by) at the DOlphin 3 weeks ago.

So, I believe if you ask to see the room in the book you will be ok. Just know they don't put stairwells on the map.

When I was just at the Swan I had an Epcot view and it was the east wing. Whether the Dolphin considers that that same side their east wing I don't know but just tell them you want an Epcot view.

It is the east wing you want. We were there last May and stayed in room 8019 and had a perfect view of Epcot, Y&BC, and the Boardwalk. It was great for watching fireworks too! We did not have a balcony but my sister's room which was connecting to our room did have! I booked a standard room and was surprisingly upgraded without being charged or asking!:cool1: :cool1:

I had to laugh at Ali's comment in regard to being "picky" about the quality of the room. That's me in a nutshell. We actually enjoy hanging out at the room, ahhh...nothing like a nice glass of wine on the balcony with a breezy view of Crescent Lake. I always go with my sister and it's our special time together. Thanks for all the tips on location. Think I'll call back and add some requests to ressie.

The Epcot view is beautiful. If we weren't in Epcot we were on the balcony with our wine watching Illuminations and we could also see Wishes. I love hanging on the balcony when not doing anything else because there is just so much going on and to see:thumbsup2
