What's the worst restaurant in WDW?

Its hard to judge.

One person says "nay" and another says "yea."

Tusker House is consistently rated one of the BEST CS restuarants in all of WDW, by a huge number of guests.

Garden Grill is one of our favoites, as well.
Never cold, certainly not "greasy" (only one or two items are fried.)
We always have a great time with the characters.

Others might hate OUR favorites.

We may hate YOUR favorites, but I'm not going to say what our worst experiences were right now...

Very unpleasant topic, I think.

Agree 100% :thumbsup2

cs- Peco Bills! ALthough the CS place outside of Mexico in EPCOT is close behind.

ts- Corral Reef. Not that ALL the food was bad, some of it was quite good. It was just the worst for us for the whole experience together. Bad table, bad waiter, bad service, none of the food was horrible, but for the PRICE $$$:scared1: it was just not worth it.

This thread really does illustrate how different everyone's tastes are.
I think I've seen San Angel mentioned more than anywhere else. On our trip with my mom and sister, I had argued against going there because of the bad reviews I had read here. But DW, my mom, and my sis all said they really wanted Mexican so I gave in. It turned out to be one of our favorites.

We also enjoyed Hollywood and Vine, which gets a lot of bad reviews.

It's probable to go to a restaurant once and love it :thumbsup2 or hate it:scared: . However, I don't think that this experience really qualifies us to attest to WDW's worst or even best restaurant. Your isolated experience could be due to your choosing the best or worst meal on the menu. Or it could be due to your waiter or waitress having a bad day:mad: . I'm thinking that someone who has been to many of WDW's restaurants more than once is more likely to have a balanced idea of what the restaurant's track record is. And still even then, personal taste is involved here and varies from person to person. So, while advice is helpful, I would not cancel my ADRs based soley upon one person's review:rolleyes1 .

I couldn't agree more! As I've already posted, sooner or later you're going to see every WDW restaurant listed here. It's not possible for any business, let alone a restaurant, to have 100% customer satisfaction. Even the best restaurant in the world will have its detractors. That said, if you see one or two isolated posts for a particular restaurant that has tons of posts in the "favorite restaurant" thread than you'll probably like it too (no guaranties though... don't forget the impossible 100% rule). On the other hand, if you see a restaurant with tons of posts in this thread and very few in the "favorite restaurant" thread then it might be in your best interests to dine elsewhere. By all means try it though... and see for yourself if it deserves to be here or not. :surfweb:

First, let me say that a bad meal at Disney is better than a bad meal at home any day. I also agree with those that say that you shouldn't make all of your dining decisions based upon reviews. Everyone's tastes are so different that it is hard to know if you will like it or not based upon reviews.

:thumbsup2 I've seen a couple of negative posts for Biergarten... but having some German heritage in me and being familiar with most of the dishes... we loved it! So there ya go! :goodvibes

The McDonalds outside of the All-Star Resorts complex :rotfl:

I have enjoyed every restaurant experience I have had in the World. It would be very hard for me to call one of them the worst.

Another vote for ABC Commissary, YUCK!

I am surprised to hear many didn't enjoy the food at CRT. We had lunch there in January & it was delicious! Now the extremely long wait & rude CM's downstairs will keep us from rushing back, but we thought the food was very good.

Absolutely, ABC Commissary---I think they use soy burgers instead of hamburgers. They were vile.

I also agree with Hollywood & Vine being nasty. I have been to eat there twice, but never again.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Vile is the exact word I used after attempting to eat at ABC Commissary! My husband got our money back. The food was inedible. It was kind of weird, half of the *ahem* "meat" was stone cold and half was lukewarm...like it was mircrowaved...The counter person wrinkled her nose when my husband showed her the mold on the bread on BOTH sandwhiches we ordered...her response was "That ALWAYS happens to us here..." nice...:lmao: after she said that someone jerked her aside and we heard "You NEVER say...." on our way out!:rotfl2:

We didn't care at all for Yachtsman Steak House. Service was very slow and the food wasn't that great for what it costs. The desserts were pretty good though! The waiter we had was funny...I was taking a phone call (work never ends!) so my husband was chatting with the waiter and told him that we were on our honeymoon...my husband said that the waiter responded with raised eyebrows and "Good luck...my divorce is final on friday..." :rotfl2: Poor guy.

We actually like Tony's...maybe it was b/c it was our "first" honeymoon meal...we didn't go in expecting fabulous Italian food...we went in expecting Olive Garden and that's pretty much what we got. We loved the atmosphere though and the CM's were very nice to us and decorated our table for us in honor of our honeymoon! We loved it!!!

You really have to take other people's experiences with a grain of salt though...try whatever you want to try. One persons YUCK is another person's FABULOUS...try it and form your own opinions! That is part of the fun and experience of Disneyworld!!

;)
I'm from LOUISIANA and Know CATFISH,
We're used of eating true Southern Fried Catfish with cornmeal batter (very light in texture) and this Catfish has the batter of Chicken Fried Steak, It even tasted like chicken
beats me how they could do that??? If I wanted Chicken Fried Steak I would have ordered it.:sad2:

Hi- I know I'm jumping in here, but I'm a local bu new to disney and was looking for the resturants to try last... but saw the Catfish post and had to reply. Leave disney property, go to St Cloud and go to the Catfish Place... no I don't work there, no I don't recieve any revenue from them but if thats what your craving its the best there. They also have great fried green tomatoes, oysters, tilapia. Not the best place if you don't want fried food.

Thanks for the tip... and welcome to the DIS! :surfweb:

ANYTHING from the Mexico pavillion. Well, except for the margaritas, those are good :thumbsup2 But food wise....gross! Could be that I'm from Texas and used to really awesome Mexican food and their's just did NOT measure up. I also did not like Pizza Planet...worst pizza I've ever had. The sauce tasted nasty to me. And I can recall not enjoying Mama Melrose. But I will say that my digestive system doesn't do well with Italian food as it is, so there ya go.

:thumbsup2 For us: Biergarten - it's German food. If you don't like German food (& reasonable facsimiles) then you won't like the food. BUT we enjoyed it.

Trail's End was also good for us - it was sort of peaceful. We like the rustic setting & it was consistent while we were there. Hearty, western-style food. Not fancy, but good.

Earl of Sandwich - in DTD - great sandwiches.

Boatwright's - in POR - GREAT service. Good food.

 For us: Peco's Bill's...bad experience with service that time - our only one where food was concerned.

& I'll agree with the poster on Rainforest Cafe

Liberty Tree was mediocre where food was concerned. Loved dessert, everything else we happened to order was Stouffer's.

Crystal Palace breakfast. Once was enough for us!

The Tusker House at the Animal Kingdom. I had their Turkey Wrap last December and it was the worst thing I have ever had to eat in my life. I was still hungry after eating it so I went to Pizzafari and got myself a Cheese Pizza which made me forget that god awful meal I had just before.

Everyone has their likes and dislikes in life, why should Disney be any different?? I can honestly say that although I have experienced dining somewhere in disney and not liking the food or having a not so great experience with the staff, it has never ever had any effect or damper on our trip.

Even here in my hometown, if we try something and don't like it we usually try it again just to make sure it wasn't an off day or something, or to try something different.

That being said, these are the places we couldn't rave about:

2005 ABC comissary : nothing really tasted good, very plain, fish was greasy

2005 Chef Mickey : kids liked it, dh and I thought there weren't enough choices, and I ate some sort of pork with a brown sauce that was gross!!

2006 Le Cellier: I loved it, dh said it was just ok, but he really liked my steak, every one else in our party thought it was yuck.

The great part about most of the restaurants at Disney, and really anywhere else I guess, is that although you may not like something at one of them, there will undoubtedly be something there that you will.
