What's the worst restaurant in WDW?

We have only ever had one really bad meal experience at Disney. MAMA MELROSE is by far the worst. The service was ridiculously awful and the food mediocre at best. We would never return.

The cantina in Mexico in Epcot for counter service.

Tonys in Magic Kingdom. So bad I walked out without ordering. The menu, the service, and the general attitude of the place.

Cape Mays At The Beach Club. Ok food but not worth the cost. Really bad service.

Just like Monami7, my husband's favorite place (and the only one he especially requests) is Akershus, and it is for the food. We went there before it was princess dining, not because of it.

We also like Hollywood and Vine's buffet, unlike a lot of the posters.

Our worst meal last July was at Marrakesh. It was partly the food (how can Moroccan food be bland?), but mostly the waiter. Worst service we've ever seen anywhere. Maybe he was just having a bad day.

We just enjoy using the DDP to try some of the TS restaurants that we would not otherwise have tried. At least then if you get a meal you don't really enjoy, you haven't paid an arm and a leg.

We also did not like the H&V dinner buffet. On the other hand, we LOVED it at breakfast.

My family and enjoy the ABC Commissary so I can't get why others always think it's that bad?

Another vote for Sci-Fi! Food, yuck! Atmosphere was great, though.

I didn't read this whole thread, but Pizza Planet has my vote.

Also, I wasn't thrilled with the Crystal Palace. I know most love it, but we must of went on an off day or time.... the food selection was terrible and there were many empty spots on the buffet that weren't filled the entire time we were there. Big disappointment. It is beautiful, though!

We tried 50's Prime Time on our last trip and we will NEVER go there again. Everything about the experience was horrible!

For me, I'd have to say Pizza Planet. I love the Toy Story theme, but it's like the pizza just sits in my stomach like a sack of flour for hours after I eat there. Unfortunately, my sister is vegetarian, and also unfortunately she only likes very bland food, so at Disney she basically eats cheese pizza, macaroni and cheese, bread, mashed potatoes, and french fries. So we end up at Pizza Planet every trip.

On the other hand, during our last trip we had great meals at Garden Grill, Akershus, Chef Mickey's, and Tony's, which have all been mentioned negatively. So as other people have said, it all depends on each person's preferences, as well as what's going in the restaurant on the particular day you happen to visit.

Well before our most recent trip I would have said H & V. We just got back and we had the unfortunate experience of eating at San Angel Inn @ Epcot

The Sci-Fi is up there on that list as well.

We havent eaten at that many places in the park, but I wouldnt go back to Jiko's at AKL. The service was good, the dessert was lovely, but we had had made ADR's since it was our wedding anniversary and specifically spoke with a chef about a vegetarian meal - they forgot about it and I ended up with a plate of boiled beans and paid over $20 for it

I like Peco Bills because of the fixins bar but we don't eat there because the smell of the place (even from the outside when we walk by) turns my DH's stomach. We pretty much have enjoyed everywhere we have eaten (even Tony's!) and consider ourselves pretty low maintenance when it comes to meals but Chef Mickeys for dinner was the worst food I have experienced. I will give it credit for the dessert bar...kids loved it!

TS:
Crystal Palace - The food selection does not suit my DW and I and we both ended up eating off the kid's menu section.
San Angel Inn - I'm from California and that's not mexican food. That's the frozen stuff they sell at Walmart.

CS:
Cantina De San Angel - I waited in line over an hour and a half for this. I don't care if it's covered in gold. No CS should ever take 90 minutes to order and get your food.
