Whats the point of mules?

I dont know,
I have only ever made 1 mule, and I didnt see the point.
meh :goodvibes

The most obvious reason is for gender specific items. If you have a girl character and want stuff for boys, you create a boy character to have those things and vice versa.

Another reason is for storage and organization. I have an extra character so I can keep my extra pins and clothes (since I can't put them in a room) on that character and thus keep my own inventory pretty clean and organized.

The biggest reason in the past, was for gaining credits quickly or lazily. Create a new character, enter all the freebie codes and sell all the stuff you get and you can basically have 2000-5000 instant credits in under 30 minutes.

I'm sure there are other reasons as well though...

In a statement: easy credits. 500 credit codes, 100 credit codes, 50 credit codes, Playing games for the first time, visiting NPC's for the first time.

That.... is a working mule. That's what Yavn hates.

sorry for going off topic but I just saw you peacefully
anyway, I am just wondering, what point is there though, you cant give the credits to your main character unless you buy a quest generator, can't you?

I only have two other female accounts for saving credits.
Then, the shopping spree begins! :lmao:

No but you can buy things with that peep and trade the items to yourself....

I Have a mule that I use for helping kids...

would it be wrong to use a mule for the halloween costumes?

Yes, that is why that statement was made in last weeks paper to prevent the use of mules. Last October, games did not pay out as well as they do now, so people made mules just for the idea you stated above. That was the purpose of mules. In addition, I use them to store items - such as pins and extra costumes.

I would get started playing some games and get your credits. In a week, constantly playing games at least 2 hours a night, should give you a nice chunk of change (Especially in Mansion or Fireworks.) Good Luck.

Some of the reasons can be found here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1235296

To expand on reasons:
Easy credits (for varying reasons)
Opposite gender for gender specific items
storage for items like clothes and pins
being able to do in game quests more than once
Getting more rooms without having to spend credits or being stuck with only skull rock rooms
To get the no longer buyable Tomorrowland Outerspace room
for girls, getting those shirts that only new characters can get (pin lanyard, babydoll dresses & camera)
To be able to secretly give away items to other people.

And so many other possibilities. :)

It was interesting, when I spoke with Yavn earlier in the year and he expressed his opinion about mules. I mentioned that I created them in the Park to give away Black ears. He didn't seem to mind that. I also asked about using email authentication for new VMK accounts he said they did not want to do that to make it easy for kids to start playing the game.

I met him and some of his team at Innoventions at DLR when they were doing tests of Yeti Vision. They were letting people play and getting feedback and comments.

LOL, and I think you can still get the Ned shirts when you create a character right?
I am a Ned fan, and not afraid to say so! WOOT!
However, it's not worth the possibility of being banned. No new mules for me! I'll stick with the Yavn-approved few that I have :goodvibes !!
Tiki

Yavn did say "50 or so" so if you only have a few now, a few more wouldnt hurt

There are many other types of shirts you can only get when you create a new character. You can usually see the people who figured that scam out in trade rooms. Now those shirts might actually have some value making the scam worse.
