What's the platinum gift for the Disney Dream?

Was hoping someone has cruised recently and could tell me what the gift is for Platinum Castaway Club on the Dream.

Sailed in February and it was the usual tote bag (slightly changed from the older tote with better handles), and a few other small items of limited interest to us.

Just got off the Dream last Monday. Received the same bag we received in May and inside was a photo album. Just as in May, the bag smelled awful! Tried airing it out and sprayed it with lysol but nothing worked. Sadly, tossed it out.

I sprayed mine w/ febreeze and set it in the sun for a few days. It's fine now.

That's what they are giving platinum? Sounds like gold. They've scaled it down.

P'colaBeachBum - Glad to hear you found something that worked for you regarding the awful smell of the bag. I can't believe Disney would distribute something
like that in the first place. Fortunately, I have several other type bags from over the years so not considered a loss.

Hundredacre - Yes, that was the Platinum gift and I agree they have scaled down the gifts a bit. Still received my choice of wine, candy or fruit as a
Platinum gift and we chose a sparkling cider substitute. Palo dinner or bunch was still on the perk list as well.

When do you tell them your choice of item, and when do you receive it? Getting ready to sail platinum for the first time!

We left the bag on the ship as well because of the smell. Tried airing it out on the balcony with no success. Didn't take it home because we feared the smell would contaminate the luggage and clothing.

There will be a letter in the stateroom listing your choices along with a number to call to request them.

Can champagne be substituted for the wine?

Keira - We used to receive a letter in the stateroom asking our preference and then we had to call them, but the last couple of cruises we got a phone call the
first afternoon asking what we would like. It was delivered the next day while we were in Nassau. We chose a bottle of Martinelli's Sparkling Cider and it came in a bucket of ice with 2 glasses and a card
attached.

Captainkate - Don't know if champagne may be substituted but you can always ask. Hope so it that's what you would like! It was a choice of one of those three items.
