Hi sorry if this is the wrong place for this question but I really need help!

We are going to DW in early June and will be staying offsite and of course we will be driving to the parks. What is the parking like at MK? I already know that there will be a 17$ fee. Is it a garage type parking lot? How long do you estimate it will take to park and be at the turnstiles?

If you couldn't tell we are complete newbies! Thanks in advance! :)

Parking at the MK (as with the other three parks) is all outdoors. The lot is huge! Once you are in your parking spot (you'll be directed along the way by Cast Members) you walk to the center aisle and take the tram to the TTC. From there you take either the monorail or ferry to the MK turnstiles. Expect it to take about 30 minutes from the time you go through the Parking toll booths.

unlike the other 3 parks, you have to take either the monorail or the ferry boat to get to gate at MK. there is no way to walk from parking lot to front gate. I would plan on at least 40 minutes to get from the TTC to get to the gate. this allows for having to wait for next monorail or ferry

The above is all correct...

After you park at MK, you'll walk out to the end of your aisle and wait for a tram that will take you to the Transportation and Ticket Center. From there, you'll take either a monorail or a ferry to the Magic Kingdom.

Also, I have heard tram cast members say it is the world's largest parking lot. Before you get on the tram, write down or take a picture of the name and number of the row you are parked in. Its easy to forget after a long day. An example is something like 'Simba 32'. I also usually note front or rear. Also note whether you're in the 'Heroes' or 'Villains' lot...there are two different tram loops.

At all the other parks, you'll park and walk/tram directly to the front gate. No monorail or ferry.

Also, if you drive to a second (or more) park on the same day, you don't have to pay the $17 again. Just show the receipt card.

Wow I had no idea that you had to take the monorail or ferry to even get to the turnstiles! I'm guessing that the monorail is faster?

Not necessarily. If there's a long line at the monorail station its sometimes faster to go to the ferry.

We always take the ferry because it feels like the first ride. The scenery is so pretty.
