Whats the NICEST thing that has happened to you at WDW???

Our last visit to Disney started out with a day at AK. We arrived at the time of park opening and as we were getting off the bus, I realized I had forgotten our park hoppers back at the hotel. Our bus driver overheard me and said "I'll take you back to the hotel so you can get your tickets". He changed the sign on the bus (instead of reading any of the park names) to "SPECIAL" and drove us back so we could get our tickets. He was so great! I can't tell you how special we really did feel!! :teeth: :teeth:

My fam had a similar experience on our trip in 1996. It was our 4th trip overall but our first stay (ASSports) on property and our first experience with Dis transportation. We were all set to go to MGM and "jumped on" on the first bus as it was pulling in to the loading area. We thought "this is great...first ones here!!" Well, it was the DTD bus. We rode and rode until we were the only ones on the bus and I finally asked the driver if the bus made a stop at MGM. She said no and that we would have to go all the way back to the hotel and catch the right bus. Well, you could imagine the faces of DW, DD, DS and me. She then reached up and clicked on her marquee and the next thing we knew we were pulling up to MGM. As we thanked her and started to the park we turned and saw the word "SPECIAL" on the bus. Just another chapter in our book of love for the World!

Well, when we were there last year, we went to the TTC thinking we could get a resort bus from there, geez as if we havent been to disney a kazillion times :confused3 Anyway, there was a bus sitting there that was supposed to be done for the night, the driver saw how distraught we were and drove us to the POP right from there while telling my DD a disney story :)

The year after DD was born, and my DH and I were still just living in sin LOL He took me on a trip to Disney, well he payed and I guided him as it was his first trip (Just him and I) and he realized he had forgotten his sun glasses when we got there. We always do MK on our 1st night so he saw a pair he really liked at a little open air shop in Advetureland. HE took it up to the counter and they couldnt find a price tag anywhere, so the CM gave him the glasses for free (and they were a damn nice pair too) :)

Also on that trip when we ate at the China Pavillion one night, The waiter continued to be incredible even though the place was periodically having flashes of power loss due to a bad florida thunder storm.

Another one happened when I was a kid and on vacation with my family, it's a lil more of cast member acting then disney magic but all good just the same. I was about 11 and acting as though I was a big brave kid, making fun of the Sounds at the haunted mansion by howling back and such :confused3
So anyway, it's me and my three cousins and as soon as we go to get in our doom buggie, the spooky CM says "Here Mary, I reserved this one just for you" Of course I am freaked that he knew my name and I spend the whole ride being totally paraniod. Afterwards my cousins tell me that they told him my name because they wanted to see how fearful I would be because of how badly I was annoying them, Family gotta love them :sad2:

I know theres more but I can't really think of it all right now.

when we we at MGM my little boy saw a really cute toy tram with mickey inside at a kiosk by the entrance. The kiosk was closed so DH asked a CM if we could buy one anywhere else the CM said no but not to worry she went and got the key to this little shop and collected the toy and then took us across into another store to pay for it my little boy was soo excited and it really made his day  ::MickeyMo

There's no place like Disney!! My husband turned 40 in April and we went to the world for a celebration. His only birthday request was to try to be the Grand Marshal of the parade at the MK. Prior to leaving I phoned everybody and anybody to try to work this out. Each time the answer was the same: The GMs are selected randomly and there was no way to set it up. I was undeterred :earboy2: The day of his birthday I walked up to a cast member, randomly selected, and asked if he was able to make my husband's dream come true. Long story short, we were the GM on my husband's 40th birthday!! There will never be a memory as sweet as the tears in my husband's eyes when we was told he was the grand marshal. There's no place like Disney!!!

Wednesday a week ago Hannah found the last wheelcahir seat avai;able and I was abe to see my daughter's friend perform in Festival of the Lion King. And the spot was right where I could take great pictures to send to my daughter who is in California right now.

we were there last March. Arrived at POR, checked in and went to MGM. We were there for a while and my youngest DS wanted to go back to the room. My older kids wanted to go on RNR coaster. DH took DS back to the resort but got off at POFQ and couldn't find his way to our room. He stopped a CM who gave him directions then realized it would be a long way back so he took them to the room on his golfcart. My DS still talks about the ride and how nice the CM was

The greatest thing hasn't happened yet but it will in about...74 more days. You see my entire family was planning a trip to Disney for the spring of 04 and my younger sister had us to put off the trip because she was expecting. We then planned to go later in october of 04. After deposits were made we find out there are 2 babies! Twins yipee!!! then almost 8 months into her pregnancy my little sis found out she was in stage 3 of breast cancer. The babies were taken early so she could begin her fight. So we had two premies as well as my sister to fight for life! Well after more than a year of hospitals surgeries,chemo...WE are going! Every time I see the Happiest Celebration on Earth on a commercial I think "It really is"! When our family passes through those turnstiles with my sister and her miracle babies we will probbably cry and know that there is nothing that can be more amazing that us being TOGETHER for our happiest celebration on earth! :sunny:

This is a moments i remember from my holiday just gone:

1) We were in the quese for stich at mk (i love lilo and stich so i forced the rest of my family to go on), which supossedly had a 10min queue time, 30 mins later we got on the ride. Annoyed me rushed to buzz just to make our fp. As we were comming out of buzz we saw a whole bunch of ppl stand around, supossedly looking at nothing. We walked passed, and i asked my mom what they were doing. Suddenly we heared a big whoop comming from the croud, we rushed back just to see the space shuttle launching, rising high over space mountain (how ironic). We were thrilled to have seen it, and i got praised the rest of the day for dragging my fmaily on stich.

2) Tower of terror bellhops. One esspecially, he was really playing the part, and me being my usual regressed self at disney, was giggling along and making mock faces of horror. He really paid attension to me, and worked off my excitement. HE was really funny (in a dry, witty sort of way), and i havent stopped talking about it since. He really made my day.

Aww... your post made me cry and that is really a hard thing to do for me, have a really great trip :wizard:

That truly was an inspirational story and I am soo glad everything worked out for you and your family.

I was having an absolutely miserable visit at MK once (before I realized there were these ECV things and I didn't have to hobble around the parks in pain). A CM got me a wheelchair but I was alone and couldn't steer it, so a very nice couple got another CM to help me. He wheeled me out to the bus; we were talking along the way and he mentioned having once been a Tour Guide. I blurted out how much I'd love to take the KttK Tour some day (finances prevented that at the time, although I didn't say so). He left me outside City Hall while he went in and arranged for me to take the tour the following Sunday!
Thanks again! (in case he's reading this :))

For years my DD and I had talked about a girls only trip for just the two of us. Last year my DH sent the two of us. We were going to do spring break but while checking air fare and resort rates we decided to go during soap weekend. This was her 18th birthday/graduation gift just a little early. We stayed at Pop and just loved it. After studying which stars were going to be there she decided she really would like to try and get Tyler Christopher's (Nicholas on GH) autograph. We went to separate machines for tickets. I went to Tyler's and she went to another (don't even remember who). I didn't get a guaranteed autograph but she got into the area to wait and see if she would get in. She had convinced herself she didn't have a chance of getting it. I walked over to 50's to check on our PS and when I came back she was gone! I looked down and there she was lined up for her autograph. With everyone I saw that were in his line, he just signed, got picture taken and they walked off. She got to him and he started carrying on a conversation and signed her picture and her book, took a picture and continued talking. Needless to say she was flying high for a long time (not sure she has come down from that one yet).
The next day we were in MK. Stitch is one of our favorite characters. The soft opening was still going on but we thought we see if the new ride was operating shortly after arriving at the park. As we walked up, Stitch came out for pictures and autographs. We were the only ones in the area. She had gotten a birthday button which Stitich noticed immediately and put the beads he was wearing on her.
On our last night we were at MK just before Wishes but decided not to stay and walked out. We sat down on the benched in front of the trail station and watched Wished from there as it started drizzling. I think the clouds may have been crying our tears. It was definitely a very special trip for us.
