What's the most pain you've ever experienced?

Gallbladder attacks, hands down. For reference, I've given birth, had a C section, three abscessed teeth at once and have been stabbed. None of those compare to a gallbladder attack.

+1. I've had broken bones, shingles, surgeries, oral surgery, bad lacerations and none of them hurt worse than a gallbladder attack. It was hard to breathe and took two shots of morphine in the ER to take the pain away.

The 2nd worst was the cortisone shot I had in my foot for an inflamation caused by plantars fasciatis. I had been warned, but that hurt BAD.

Mentally, I had a woman who I was going to marry break up with me. It took a long time to get over that.

At least for me, I have trouble remembering pain. I can tell you something was painful and that I never want it to happen again, but I find it hard to compare the top instances without being able to fully recall them (not that I want to). My top three would be Shingles, my almost third degree burn, and when I slept wrong and tweaked my neck in such a way that if any part of my body made the slightest movement stabbing pain would ensue. The last one left me unable to lie back, sit up, or stand on my own until the medicine started working. It also hurt so much that I thought I was going to vomit, which was terrifying because of the thought of all that movement.

Last year at age 45 I had my tonsils, adenoids removed, my uvula tucked, and a deviated septum all in one surgery. The huge pain is when I ran out of meds and the dr was in a single practice and I couldn't get a refill until monday. PAIN!
