What's the longest you've waited for a ride?

I've seen scattered reports of people waiting 3+ hours for Soarin' and standby for one ride (can't remember which one) being 360 minutes (6 hours!). So, what's the longest you've waited for a ride (not a show but a ride)? And would you do it again?

Personally, between Fastpass and planning I've rarely waited more than about 5 - 10 minutes on my recent trips. I think the longest was about 30 minutes for Peter Pan and don't know that I'd want to wait much longer than that for any ride.

We waited for 45 minutes in WDW for Toy Story Mania after FP's were gone.

It was worth it but we probably wouln't wait for anything over that time.

Our usual limit is 30 mins. I think we waited for 45 the first time we did Toy Story Midway Mania. We waited about 45 mins for Peter Pan once b/c it was the last ride of the trip and we still hadn't done it. I refuse to wait any longer...just not worth it to me. We waited over an hour once at another theme park b/c our girls were finally big enough and it was the biggest let down for them. They did not enjoy it. So I swore then not to do it again haha.

Since we only get to go twice a year, we'll wait upwards to an hour for a big e-ticket, but thats it. But we're pretty good with fastpasses and knowing when and when not to get in line without one, and haven't had much trouble. Most we've waited recently is about 30 minutes, but WILL wait up to an hour. More than that and it had better be opening day of the attraction or something. lol

zeitzeuge, you two take the cutest pics...just had to tell you! You ooze happy kwim.

We waited for an hour for TSMM last August. Our usual limit is around 40-45 minutes but we were standing there, and we were with another family and the kids were all up for it, so we figured what the heck!

I'm still on the fence about the waiting for WOC. I find it ridiculous that I have to either (a) wait in a long line for a FP during those important early morning hours; or (b) eat an expensive dinner and/or dinner I don't really want in order to see the show AND then I still have to wait around for 2 hours if my kids have any shot of being able to see. I have no issue with the FP or dining part, it's the waiting part (after having done the first part) that I find annoying.

I recall seeing the line for Nemo at 3+ hours the week it opened. I couldn't figure out who on earth would join a 3-hour line but there they were, filing right in!

If we're counting Fireworks or Fantasmic, we've waited hours before. We take turns...one camps out while the other takes the girls on rides. When we eventually go back we'll probably do the picnic option for WOC if it's still the low price of $15.

My feelings exactly. I would rather they just charge extra for a decent spot & you can get there 15 minutes before the shows stars.

Our usual maximum wait time is 45 mins. The longest that I have waited is 1 hour which was for BTMRR at Disneyland Paris. The park had opened the weekend before and everything else was walk on but BTMRR was by far the most popular ride.

Before FP, I went with a team b/w X-mas and New Years and it was Rose Bowl Day with the teams and bands. I think we waiting in line for Space for 3 hours. But post FP, I would say the longest would be 45 for Peter Pan.

I once waited in line forever. No kidding, I'm still waiting to ride Rocket Rods. :lmao:

Seriously though that was the longest I ever waited, probably close to 2 hours.

Otherwise the worst is probably about 45 minutes for Nemo subs and TSMM.

Since FPs have been available, I haven't waited any longer than 45 minutes or so for any ride.

Before FP, though...that's another story! Waited for around 4 hours to get on the Rocket Rods; I swear, the part of the line that coiled around & around in the former Cirlclevision Theater, with the projections of race cars/etc going all different directions, was a form of psychological torture :scared1::rotfl: . And back in the days before Fastpass, 2+ hours was a normal-length wait to get onto Space Mountain. Star Tours used to have quite the wait (4+ hours when it was fairly new).

Summary: hooray for Fastpass!

I waited for 2.5 hours for nemo when it first opened. I was with my gf who had never been on it and it was her first time toDLR in like 15years. I would never wait that long for a ride again though because no matter how great of a ride it is never worth more than an hour of time because there are so many other things to do and see with less wait time and if you miss something with a long line, that is just another reason to make another trip to the happiest place on earth :)

I once waited 2 hours the first time I rode Soarin'. I love that ride, but not that much. It was almost a let down after the wait. But, it was in the period when my mom was anti DCA and I had no idea when I would be back.

I almost waited 220 mins to ride Tower at WDW in April 2009, but fortunately, some kind stranger handed us fast passes about 10 minutes into the wait. I swear, it was a miracle from Walt Disney himself.

Now we won't wait more than 20 or 30 mins for anything, unless we're dying to ride (and the more is like 45 max). Most trips though, we don't ride a whole lot. I think our current record is 2 rides in one day.

Recently, I have only waited 45 min. for a ride - Nemo and TSMM for the first times. Otherwise, we cap waiting at 15-20 and still manage to ride everything. I do remember when I was younger, and we waited in line for 3 hours for Indy when it opened - ugh.

On my first trip to DL, I was with a bunch of Disneyland novices and it was during spring break. We waited an hour and a half for ToT. I don't even understand how that is possible!

Nowadays, 45 minutes is my absolute cap. And I get cranky about that!

When I was a kid, my family and I went to Disneyland/Universal Studios/SD Zoo/Sea World etc in July 1996 or so (I can't exactly remember which month, I was 6 haha).

When we went to Universal Studios, Jurassic Park was brand new and super-hot. My dad was a placeholder for us and stood in line for almost 3.5 hours.

I think it was worth it, this was before they lowered the height on the drop =)

Um. I don't think I've ever waited in a line for a ride for more than 45 minutes. But I've waited for other things for longer, lol.
