Whats the holdup..........

I did the refer a friend ( although I live in backwards NC so I cant get anything for it, but Im still happy to share the Magic ) about a month ago. My friend told me he spoke with 2 different folks at MS and they were going to send him material but he hasnt recieved anything yet. I told him they could be in the process of selling out some remaining contracts, as this was true this same time last yr around this time.

Does anyone know what might be causing the delay, cause this fellow is primed and ready to go?

You should call your guide. They get paid for selling contracts. I bet he will have material inside of a week if you call for him. Member services is for members only, if he is calling the members number they may not be responding to his request because he is not a member.

I agree with Pa@. Call your guide directly, give him/her the info and that will be much quicker than the referral way. (the referral way via the website, postcards, etc. takes forever.)

my best friend bought (closed yesterday infact) and we have not heard from MS yet. Does anyone know if the refer a friend is based on a callender year or one year from the last purchase? We had some other friends that closed last summer so if it is annual from purchase this would be two in one year, if it is callender than it would be number one.

I ended up with a resale because they were so slow in calling me back. Without any DVC member friends (this was before I found all of you), I was just calling the number on the web site and filling out the web forms. We had resale contracts signed and money back and forth (and I waited a week before I started exploring resales) before I got a call from DVC.

Call your guide and have him (her) give your friend a call. Let your guide know you have your friend primed for a sale and you'd hate for them to end up at Mariott because they return calls!
