You're through the gate, and finally in the park. Do you immediately head for a ride or attraction? Or something to eat? A store? A bench, and soak it all in? What's the first thing you do in your favorite park? Or if it's your first time, what are you planning to do right off the bat?

I grew up always doing the first available seating at CP in MK on our first MK day. So it's tradition for me to walk up a near-empty Main Street and eat at CP. Bliss! The tradition will carry on in October!

when we're there in october, our plan for the 1st day is to do a magic morning (thursday)...we'll try to soak in as much as we can as we walk towards fantasyland to ride as many rides as we can there!

We head straight for potc then after we ride we head for the good old dole whip. Next it is to the monorail and to Epcot. We eat at Mexico then head to Soarin'. If we have time we will do MS and TT then watch Illuminations. Then we go and crash because we have been up since 3am yikes!

My DH is disabled but refuses to get a scooter or a wheelchair yet so by day 2 he is in ALOT of pain....day 1 is his to enjoy so we do all his favourite things.

If you think our first day is busy I should post our last day....

We're so hyper we usually hit a family favorite ride first while saying OMG we're at Disney!

For the past two years, the first thing we do is get our picture taken in front of Cinderella's castle - because I'm afraid if we don't we won't remember to get back to it. And then we're off to Fantasyland, where my children go nuts for - are you ready for this - the carousel! Yes, the carousel. Of all the amazing rides, they head straight for the one they could go on in a million other places. :-) Too funny. My DD3 would ride the carousel all day if we let her.

Ideally, our first day is at MK at the first thing I do it walk up Main Street just taking it all in. Seeing the castle again (especially after a long absence) can really bring a tear to my eyes. I need a little time to just bask in the Disneyness of it all.

This year our first day will be at DHS so I'm not sure what we'll do first, maybe the Great Movie Ride.

Maggie

Normally we go on POTC first thing. But this year, our first day will be at Epcot. I think we are going to take a slower pace and really spend some time in World Showcase on our 1st day and then have dinner at Coral Reef! :thumbsup2

It's always walking down Main Street at MK! Just soaking in the fact that we're in Disney again!! I love going there first even if we don't get on too many rides that day, it's mainly about the feeling for us.

The first thing we do on our first day is get to MK for rope drop. There is nothing like that opening ceremony. The music makes me cry every time. The next time we go, we're finally taking our kids. I am going to be a basket case when I see my DD's reaction! For anyone who needs a dose of magic, click here! http://youtube.com/watch?v=wGWy8d7nac8

The first thing I do? That's easy. I smile!!!:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Then after I take it in for a moment I go to the Haunted Mansion.

That's me and my mom too! We love CP for breakfast! I also love waving at the cast members with their great big Mickey hands, welcoming us to Magic Kingdom! Makes me feel like a kid again!

We go to MK, walk down Main Street and I start to tear up! I always cry at Disney, I don't know why but I do!

We go to MK, hit the bakery on Main Street, get a huge krispie treat covered with 2 inches of chocolate, eat them quickly then head to the Haunted Mansion followed by Pirates.

 Hi! Another Cryer here!!! :confused3 Usually we go to the MK first... that being said, once we grab a map and possily a stroller we head down Main street.... We soak it all up, and are sure to take a picture or two with Th Castle as a back drop. A few other snap shots of the kids and their faces to "capture the moment" and we head to Its a Small World!!! Its been a family ritual on DHs side so we have stuck to it!! I usually cry during the ride too!! It finally hits that we are at DISNEY WORLD!!

Then we come home and I have the Dis to deal with my Disney planning-withdrawls -- Also Know as Dis-drawls! :guilty: :rolleyes1

Yet another cryer..... DH dosen't understand what that is all about, and I can't say that I can really explain it myself. We took our first family vacation last year with our 2yo DS . It was DH first time in the MK and I had not been since I was 12. It took everything I had not to cry when DS was hugging the Characters !!! DH laughs and says that I am more into it than DS is, and I would almost have to agree ! Durring our viedo of the parade you can hear me SCREAM " IT"S CHIP AND DALE " ! Then he points the camera at me wearing my Mickey ears and a BIG cheesy grin on my face:rotfl2:

We are going back in October and I can't wait !!!

Usually we walk down Main St. and take pictures in front of Cinderella's Castle, then we head to tomorrow land and do Buzz lightyear. Then space mountain. This year we'll probably head straight to fantasyland.

We walk down main street sing arm in arm, "I'm walking right down the middle of main street USA." Sometimes we even do a little dance while we sing.

One year there was a group of performers singing it and my DD9 was like, ' hey that's our song!"

Then we usually ride the carousel.

Cry :sad1: .

Can't help myself. The Disney-ness just consumes me.
